the ultimatum

fathers day aftermath

They had a fun Father's Day on the beach, then going to Tim's favourite food place, the twins were in bed and Tim and Lucy were sat on the sofa.

"Thanks for today" he says kissing her temple.
"hey hey, it's your first proper Father's Day. I take it Ashley did nothing last year" Lucy says and Tim shakes his head.
"Nope. To be honest I didn't even acknowledge that it was Father's Day last year." He says and Lucy sighs softly and kisses Tim.

"So how far along are we?" He asks placing a hand on her stomach.
"Nine and a half weeks, I have an appointment in three and a half weeks for another scan. She says that the first trimester can be a huge risk for miscarriages so let's not tell anyone until I hit second trimester" Lucy says softly and Tim smiles and nods.
"okay baby, does anyone actually know?" He asks and Lucy smiles
"Just grey and Angela" she replies and Tim nods.

"I'm going to be a dad again" he replies softly, pulling her in for a kiss Lucy deepens the kiss then pulls away and stands up and walks to the bathroom.
"where you off too?" Tim asks and then he hears gagging and retching from the bathroom and he immediately jumps up and goes into the bathroom and pulls Lucy's hair back and rubs her back.
"I am so over this already" she grumbles.
"hey, just think there's a good outcome. In the end there would be a little us" Tim replies and Lucy nods.

"wait- no! that's easy for you to say" she snaps back aggressively, Tim's eyes widen at Lucy's tone but he didn't take it personally, he knows it'll be her hormones, Tim didn't reply he just rubbed her back.
"I'm sorry." Lucy mumbles again and Tim smiles softly
"Hey I said I'm in for it all aren't I?" Tim reminds her and Lucy laughs and nods, she gets up and flushes the toilet and pulls Tom into a hug
"Thanks" she whispers against his ear.
"No thank you Lucy, you gave me another chance." He replies.

Lucy and Tim clean up and head to bed, all cuddled up..finally exhaustion took over them both.

The next morning Tim and Lucy got up and got ready for work, Lucy obviously had her daily morning sickness but Tim was there for her.

Tim cooked everyone breakfast and they were all sat there enjoying pancakes again.
"are you guys done with your food?" Lucy asks picking up their dishes to clean them.
"Yes mom" they both replied and Tim and Lucy looked at each other and back at them wide eyed..Lucy broke out in a smile which immediately made Tim smile widely too but they didn't say anything about it.

Lucy picked up there dishes and cleaned up the kitchen meanwhile Tim was putting the twins shoes and coats on in the living room.
"Can miss Lucy be our mommy?" Arlo asked shyly, Tim tied Avalynns shoe lace and sat back infront of them ,so he can talk to both of them.

"Do you want her to be your mommy?" Tim asks softly and they both break out into big smiles and claps and nods excitedly, Tim smiles too.
"well it's not me you have to ask babies, it's lucy. I don't have a problem with Lucy being your mommy" Tim replies rubbing their tiny hands, both of them look at eachother and smile, they both jump up and run into the kitchen where Lucy was.

"Hey arlo I still need to put your shoes on" Tim mumbles and sighs, he picks up the little shoes and stands in the kitchen door way watching the interaction infront of him..

" miss lucy, miss Lucy!!" Avalynn shouts as her and arlo run into the kitchen.
Lucy stops cleaning the counters and stops and bends down infront of them.
"How can I help you kiddos" she asks looking at the two of them softly with a smile.

Both avalynn and arlo immediately became shy.
"Hey what's up?" She asks now grabbing both of their hands.
"We want to know..if you-" avalynn starts and arlo finishes
"If you would be our momma?!"
