and small time skip after this chapter because i need baby Vi to start acting like her mother so I can get some drama going on

"Where's my sweet angel niece who will never do any wrong in her life!?"

"Keep your voice down. Jay's in therapy down the hall and Tim's next." I laughed, walking inside the den with Viola in my arms. "And you all came just in time because she just woke up from her nap, ate and is more alert than ever."

"Hello, my sweet angel." Zatanna cooed, running up to us. "I'm gonna be your fun auntie Zeezee who will probably bail you out of prison if you turn out like your mother... please turn out like your mother so you can give your daddy heart attacks."

"Watch the hair because she just learned what hands are and has a death grip."

"We appreciate you guys waiting so long in coming to visit... it's been a roller coaster of a month for us." Dick chuckled and sat in between Kaldur and Wally. "I mean, we've got the kids in therapy, Vi keeps all of us up at night, Cass had to cut her hair because Vi kept pulling at it and Damian got a cow... half of that was yesterday afternoon."

"And the spit ups and the poop bombs as Steph calls them. Alfred is traumatized by her lung capacity at three in the frigging morning and Damian asked to soundproof his room twice this week."

"I'm vouching for this kid. My goddaughter has done no wrong and never will." Artemis said and I chuckled, sitting next to Connor who immediately held out a finger for Viola to grab. "We were waiting for the call from the hospital but it never came."

"We never made it to the hospital." I mumbled and they all widened their eyes. "I was just getting out of my suit when I felt the urge to push... about an hour later, Vi was born in Dick's old room."

"And you traumatized poor Alfred with the miracle of life!?" Wally asked and I shook my head. "Bruce!?"

"He was in the room giving me Joker gas for the pain. Harley delivered Vi and Dick literally caught her."

"Only you would have such a chaotic birth." Will laughed as Lian ran up to me. "Gentle, Li. Vi needs to grow before she can play with you."

"Why is her hair green, auntie monkey?" Lian asked and I pursed my lips, glancing up at Will who nodded.

"Y'know that I had to go through some treatments a while ago, Lian?"

"Mhm. Daddy said you had bad stuff in your blood and that's why your hair is white."

"I did... well, the nice doctors who helped me couldn't get all the bad stuff out because it was too dangerous to do so. So, some of that got passed down to Viola and that's why she has those cool green streaks and her eyes look brighter."

"So she has bad stuff too?"

"A little bit, but she's going to be okay. Your uncle and I are gonna take good care of her so she doesn't end up like I did." I assured and she nodded. "After dinner, I'll let you hold her and you can help me give her a bath and put her to sleep. How does that sound?"
