The month of January went by quickly, transfer rumours, league games, doctor appointments, partnerships, along with the latter stages of the Supercopa taking main stage towards the end of the month.
Kaia's advert with Calvin Klein had taken the world by storm, she was on billboards all over the world and on everyone's TV screen and social media.
From Leah taking a picture of Kaia's poster outside the Regent Street store to Christen Press posting a video of Kaia's shortened advert playing in Time Square.
It was truly a dream come true for Kaia, working with such a brand and having her name and face become so iconic that it spread like wildfire.
Mapi had also saved the extended advert to her phone, obsessed with the sultriness of it, the denim Kaia wore and peeled off, the song Glory Box making it that much more insane in her mind.
That was her wife.
However their joy was haltered when Grace went through surrogacy and it failed, meaning they had to wait another month to try again and hope for an egg to successfully attach.
Mapi was heartbroken, convinced again that it was her eggs that made it happen despite them successfully being fertilised. But she knew Kaia would never blame her or become impatient, so Grace booked another flight for February to try again and for the meantime they focused on other things.
Things like Fabian who properly called Mapi mamá now while Kaia was mimi, who called his sippy cup of water 'wa wa' and who could pull himself up on the sofa cushions and stand on his feet almost unsupported.
He was growing up and fast.
His hair needed cutting, his personality was playful and curious and his relationship with Mónica had developed exactly the way Kaia and Mapi had hoped.
He didn't smile as much as when Alexia's voice filled the halls, and he didn't quite play as enthusiastically as when Lucy would get on the floor of the playroom with him.
But he was calm, he felt secure in Mónica's presence. And that was the main thing they wanted.
So each day as they went to training, both of them knew from the bottom of their hearts that Fabian was safe and they could fully put their attention on football.
On the Supercopa final against Real Madrid.
The prematch buildup went well, both team had their strongest starting eleven and Kaia was looking for a fifth consecutive goal-scoring game.
She'd been on a good run since returning from winter break, keeping her head down and focused on what mattered while so many things circulated in her personal life.
Good things but also bad.
The recently bad thing being the media linking Mapi to a move away from the club this summer and her replacement being Laia Aleixandri.
Kaia didn't think much of it, she knew Joan Laporta valued Mapi highly as a person and a vital part of the team.
She knew their contacts were bound so one of them couldn't leave without the other until summer 2026.
And she knew Barcelona hadn't put Mapi's name on the transfer list.
But catching Mapi scrolling past articles speculating her exit did have Kaia concerned, less worried but more wary of the people talking.
Some would say sell while she's still good, while others wouldn't dream of Mapi playing in a different shirt.
Those first people weren't true fans, but they unfortunately did exist.
