It was game day. But not the kind Barcelona Feminí warmed up for.
No, this was a watch party at Mapi and Kaia's.
It was a gloriously warm day, the bifold doors were open and the outside TV was mirroring the living room TV to play Manchester United v Newcastle United as the last game of the Premier League season.
With points, United were drawing with Liverpool currently.
It was simple really, if United beat Newcastle and Liverpool failed to win their game, then the title would go to Manchester United.
But if Liverpool won as well... it would come down to goal difference which favoured the Scouse side. So United had to win with a lot of goals to give them the best chance, meaning their lineup was very attacking.
Kaia had been stressing, distracting herself with hosting and making sure no one let her child go too close to the pool. Even Gia, Jenni and Aurelio had made the flight over from Italy to show their support.
But the second the game kicked off, Kaia was planted on the outdoor sofa, her eyes scanning the football almost too intently, looking for tactics amongst Newcastle like she could implement a counter active plan.
Music was playing for those who weren't as zoned in, with Fabian taking centre stage dancing with his hands in the air, his hips going side to side with the rhythm of the music.
Mapi had a hard time choosing between watching Sebastian play and proudly watching her son move like the little diva he was becoming.
Fabian was even calling out to her with 'mamá, me!' which meant he wanted her to watch him, grinning at the phones consensually aimed his way.
While Kaia who was used to his behaviour only blindly opened a frozen smoothie pouch twenty minutes into the game. "Fabian, sweetheart, it's too hot in the sun for you." She says. "Come here."
Fabian blinks quickly and looks down to watch his feet move across the patio in little concentrated stomps. "Vale, mami." He whispers.
Mapi chuckles, placing a loving kiss on Kaia's cheek. "Vale, mami." She repeats against her wife's soft skin.
Fabian makes his way around a sunbathing Albus and lifts his arms, being lifted up by Kaia to sit in the little space between her and Mapi, but still on Mapi's right thigh.
There, he settles back against Kaia's chest and gratefully takes his smoothie, his curious eyes on the football and his little chest going up and down from his rapid heartbeat.
But the smoothie slowly lowers from his lips which stay parted, swallowing being an afterthought to who's onscreen. "Sebas..."
"Sí, sí." Mapi encourages with a beaming smile, softly brushing some of Fabian's sweaty curls away from his eyes. "That is your uncle Sebas."
"Sebas." Lucy repeats in a soft chuckle, herself lounging next to Ona in a perfect place to watch the football and get a tan. "That's actually so cute."
Kaia glances Lucy's way, the amusement in her eyes hidden behind her sunglasses. "It's a name that's gonna stick."
"Better than Pipi and Kaka." Patri jokes, laughing loudly as Pina and Cats join in.
Kaia was going to say something, but the commentators on the TV start getting louder as Man United go on the break, Højlund leading the line while Sebastian runs on for support.
It's played through to the captain whose touch is perfect and gets him past his defender.
His defender who then grabs his arms to pull him back and to the ground.
