With it being the international break, it gave Mapi and Kaia a few days beforehand to fly back to Manchester with Fabian so he can experience Halloween for the first time with his cousins.
Obviously they couldn't stay until the 31st, but they loved the idea of a day of pumpkin picking with the children when Sebastian suggested it.
It was also an activity they couldn't do in Barcelona, something done so well in England that Mapi was the most excited to see all the haunted mazes, farm animals and British autumn foods and drinks.
So Mapi joined Kaia on her flight to North England, they checked into their hotel for just this one night and had dinner before putting Fabian to sleep in his travel cot.
The next morning, they were up early and getting ready for an English autumn day, making sure themselves and especially Fabian had thick layers on.
For the first time, the weather was cold enough to put him in his fluffy onesie that made him look like a little teddybear. It had a hood and covered his feet, leaving only his hands exposed which was fine since he sucked his thumb a lot during the day.
Then with the greatest amount of joy, Mapi wore the forward facing baby carrier on her chest and Kaia helped get Fabian snuggly in place for their twenty minute walk to Kenyon Hall Farm.
The air was crisp when they stepped outside and Kaia immediately made sure Fabian's hat was covering his ears before taking Mapi's hand and strolling out of the town into the countryside.
Since they were in Warrington, Sebastian had a forty minute drive from his house to meet up with them. It gave them some time to head to there now, browse the farm shop and get breakfast at the café before the chaos of pumpkin picking with four children.
On the walk, Fabian's eyes were stopping on every little thing they passed that caught his attention; the multicoloured autumn leaves on the bushes, stop signs and then a massive tractor that passed by on the road which made him jump in fright and stare at it wide eyed.
"This place is so nice." Mapi hums happily as they walk through the carpark and towards the beautiful farm shop. "So relaxing and quiet."
"Yeah." Kaia agrees with a big smile. "Very much a local shop, but the pumpkin patches get a lot of visitors from all over the North West area."
"And you've always done this since you were a child?" Mapi recalls in interest, admiring the display window of jams they're passing to get to the main door.
"Every year since we moved here." Kaia confirms as the warmth of the heaters hits them the moment they enter. "Seb was a little too old to really get as excited as me, but it's a tradition he's carried on with his three so he must've enjoyed it some." She chuckles.
"I like it." Mapi says with a soft nod of approval, her eyes taking in the autumn home and garden decorations, Halloween theming and more with the same wonderment as Fabian. "There were never these types of things in the area I was raised, like a day you go with the family to a farm, see local produce for the season, pick pumpkins."
"And you and your brother didn't carve any." Kaia states with a teasing grimace.
Mapi shakes her head, smiling. "No, but we can buy some pumpkins from the local market back home and put them outside the house this year." She suggests. "Then next year we can do the same and Fabi can help carve one."
Kaia's phone pings in her pocket with a message from her brother. "Oh, Seb's just got the kids in the car, him and Katherine are setting off now." She relays.
Mapi nods in understanding. "Let's go and eat breakfast, I'm expecting good things from the way you've hyped their menu up." She chuckles.
They got a table for two away from the foot traffic, a wooden high chair for Fabian who wasn't too pleased with being sat up in it instead of in the comfortable support Mapi had him in.
