"I can't believe you have a legit stalker." Lucy says in an uncomfortable voice.
The statement was aimed at Mapi, but she was zoned out with her arms crossed and eyes down.
She didn't like this one bit.
She wasn't scared of Nina, but she was scared of what she might do next.
She had a wife she wanted to keep safe, an eleven month old son she'd burn the world down for and twins they were expecting this year. She couldn't have a stalker.
"We've called our lawyer Marco." Kaia assures with a sigh. "With the security cameras, texts she's sent and Mapi's statement, he's convinced he can build a case against her."
"You shouldn't have to deal with this though." Patri says with an unconscious frown.
"She's moving out of our flat, that's for damn sure." Mapi finally speaks up, her wide eyes going to Kaia like she's only just realised that.
"Oh, immediate eviction." Kaia agrees, the slight sass in her voice bringing small albeit real chuckles from the group.
"Has the club offered any support?" Alexia asks uneasily.
"They've banned her from the stadium already, no matter what happens next." Mapi speaks up, picking nervously at her nails. "Why does this have to happen now? We have a Champions League semifinal next week, we have children to think about." She points between herself and Kaia.
"I don't think there's ever a good time for a stalker." Ona points out soberly. "What do we do if we run into her in our building?" She asks.
"Just say hi and pretend nothing's wrong." Kaia answers. "Adán said spooking her could make her do something. And to be honest, we don't even know what she wants."
"Me." Mapi huffs, once again crossing her arms like a security blanket and leaning closer to Kaia. "For what reason, I don't know..." she mumbles.
"Vamos, chicas. Don't be late getting out there." Lucia urges as she passes the group with her medical bag in hand.
Alexia pushes off the wall she was leaning on, sighing deeply at the conversation they've just had. "Leave it in your lawyer's hands, just focus on football and Fabian for now."
Kaia lingered as everyone else left down the hall, because Mapi was still staring at the floor. "Baby, she didn't get in." She gives Mapi's arm a squeeze. "She's not going to get in."
Mapi nods, but her eyes were shameful as they looked into Kaia's. "I know I have no control over this, but I feel like it's my fault. If something happens to you or Fabian, It'll be because of me."
"No, if she does something it's on her." Kaia corrects seriously. "Marco will get us that restraining order as soon as possible. But for now, please... try to focus on football. I don't want you missing out in the summer because of this."
Mapi followed her wife down the hall quietly, still lost in her own worry and trying not to think about what happens next.
But when the fresh air hit her skin, when she heard the sound of Vicky teasing Kika and the soft connection of boot to ball, Mapi felt at ease.
They were within the Joan Gamper complex: high walls, security at the gate, so many people around who had to have IDs to be onsite.
