London was buzzing with the celebrations of their second women's Euros. Thousands of fans turned up to watch the team bus travel down The Mall and show off the trophy.
It helped a lot that the sun was shining and the day was so beautiful, being one of those memorable English summer days where everyone was happy, drinking and enjoying life.
They had stayed at The Caroline Suite last night and Kaia had one too many cocktails at the bar in Soho alongside Leah and Emilia, and they both agreed to fly to Ibiza with her tonight where there other halves were already clubbing and sunbathing.
The villa they were staying in was on the holiday side of Ibiza though, where Fabian could enjoy the beach in the daytime away from the party scene.
He'd only be there for one more night, since Kaia and Mapi planned for them to take the jet over to Sicily with Rosa and Alexia.
"Kaia," Alessia says, the two of them stood at the side of the top deck side by side. "Are you flying commercial or taking the jet to Ibiza?"
"The jet." Kaia answers, staring over at Alessia through the sunglasses. "Why?" She smirks.
Alessia finally looks up from her phone, where she had been texting back and forth a lot today. "A few of my club teammates are out there, they've invited me just now."
"You can fly with us." Kaia answers the question she knows Alessia wants to ask. "Who's invited you?" She asks nosily, but she was far too curious about the look in Alessia's eyes.
Alessia blushes, an uncharacteristic reaction for it simply being a teammate. "Uh, Alma Pinheiro."
"Your Brazilian midfielder?" Kaia nods in approval, chuckling when Alessia rolls her eyes dramatically. "How's your Portuguese coming along?" She hints. "Boa? (Good?)"
"She's a friend, with a girlfriend." Alessia states discreetly. "And I'm... straight."
"Straight." Kaia repeats curiously, knowing for a fact that Alessia was at least a little bi-curious. "Don't worry, I won't tell." She teases.
Alessia huffs, but she can't help laugh at the giddy feeling in her chest of winning and then going to celebrate properly with someone who naturally makes her giddy.
"Guys," Leah shoves her head between theirs, grabbing the far side of both of their shoulders. "Burna Boy is going to surprise Sarina. We need to film it."
Burna Boy did in fact surprise Sarina on the stage, possibly making her more excited than watching England win the Euros for the second time.
She danced alongside him as he sang, making quite the entertainment for the 65,000 fans and the England players watching and filming from behind.
When it came time to speak to players, Kaia made sure that she was 100% sober because she knew Alex Scott would hand her a microphone and make her speak about the team, their campaign and naturally her fractured foot.
Even though it had only been three years since she was stood on this very stage giving a similar speech, Kaia suddenly felt a lot more mature as she spoke.
She wasn't hungover like a lot of the team, she wasn't drunk like she was three years ago onstage, and this time she had a son who would be watching and listening to her live from Ibiza.
So Kaia's little inspirational speech was clapped for by everyone, it held a few tasteful jokes and she didn't bite when Alex Scott teased her about 'sleeping on the sofa' when she gets back to Barcelona.
Kaia knew for a fact that Mapi would never refuse her into bed.
Once the day full of celebrations were over, it was around 5pm and the temperature was still quite high.
