"Wake up, gorgeous."

Mapi hums lowly to say she was awake, but she kept her head nestled into her pillow, she stayed on her stomach and enjoyed the gentle breeze over her back that Kaia had let in from the balcony doors.

"Mapi, baby." Kaia glides her hand in a circle on the small of Mapi's bare back, sat crossed legged facing her wife in bed.

"I'm awake, shh." Mapi sleepily replies.

Kaia leans closer, smiling happily. "I've got a surprise for you," she tempts. "A surprise you need to be conscious for."

"Fabian's just gone back to sleep." Mapi mutters. "Can't we sleep for a little bit longer too?"

Getting sleep in where they could was very vital, something they both agreed they needed and would take advantage of.

But unfortunately, today wasn't that day.

"I'm afraid not, our appointment is at 9." Kaia replies with a mildly guilty grimace.

Mapi slowly rolls onto her back and into the middle of the bed, her hair splayed and eyes screwed shut from the sunlight. "Appointment for what? Tattoos?" She assumes in confusion.

"No." Kaia straddles Mapi's waist and intertwines their fingers, holding their hands above the blonde's stomach. "We're going to the Yamaha Store to look and test drive motorbikes."

"Really?" Mapi's lips lift into a giddy smile, one that is mirrored on Kaia's face.

They were true petrol heads.

"Then we can finally ride through the hills together." Kaia says, giving a squeeze to Mapi's hands.

The only problem with their current setup was that neither of them liked driving with a passenger, which meant when they took the Triumph out it was always one of them without the other.

But in recent months, they'd been looking for an addition to their growing garage, another motorbike that has similar qualities but was unique in itself.

The idea of driving up to a viewpoint on their motorbikes to watch the sunset was a dream, a dream that might snowball into reality today.

"We can finally race each other." Mapi chuckles deviously. "And since the Triumph is yours, this new bike can be mine. Yeah?"

"Oh, and are you paying for it?" Kaia retorts with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"From my personal account?" Mapi pretends to be offended. "I only buy presents for you from that account."

Kaia grins in victory. "Looks like it'll be mine then." She teases.

Mapi hums and takes the teasing on the chin, because she was too busy staring up at the beautiful brunette in such appreciation. "Are you doing this because I've been distracted recently?"

Kaia's eyes drop to her wife's chest, innocently admiring it for a second. "I'm doing this because you deserve to feel some joy and a childlike kind of excitement. You deserve to get your mind off all the serious crap in our lives and just be fully happy again."

"You're the best thing that ever happened to me." Mapi shakes her head gently, forever amazed.

"I'll forever try to outdo myself." Kaia replies teasingly, but she was already leaning down and kissing Mapi softly. "I love you."

Taking a baby to a Yamaha garage wasn't the most common thing, but Fabian was in awe as he stayed in Kaia's arms and they followed after Mapi through the showroom.
