as you sit across from him at the small table in your room, the weight of your thoughts and the reality of your relationship hangs heavy in the air. his gaze is fixed on you, intense and demanding, as if daring you to say something he won't like. taking a deep breath, you begin, your voice steady despite the turmoil within. "theodore, we need to talk."
he tenses, his jaw clenching slightly. "about what?" he asks, his voice low and guarded.
you take a deep breath, steeling yourself for what you're about to say. "theodore, i've been thinking," you start again. "and i don't think this is working out."
"what do you mean?" he asks, his voice eerily calm. his eyes narrow slightly, a hint of anger seeping into his expression. "what do you mean, this isn't working out?" he repeats, his tone growing sharper. "things have been going well between us. why would you want to throw that away?"
your heart thumps in your chest, but you stand your ground. "it's not that simple," you reply. "there are things that have been bothering me, issues that we haven't been able to resolve."
his expression hardens, a flicker of impatience in his eyes. "like what? you're overreacting. everything is fine." he leans forward, resting his arms on the table. "seriously, you're making a big deal about nothing." he says, his voice taking on a condescending tone. "you're just being emotional. this is all in your head."
he sighs loudly, clearly frustrated with the direction this conversation is taking. "i don't understand why you're doing this," he says, "it's like you're looking for problems where there aren't any. we're good together. why can't you just be happy with that?"
your heart sinks as you listen to his words. he's trying to gaslight you, to make you think you're the one in the wrong. you feel a sense of anger and frustration building inside you.
you try to speak up, but he interrupts you. "stop it," he snaps, his voice growing impatient. "you're being ridiculous. just calm down."
his tone is dismissive, like he's trying to minimize your feelings. "you're overreacting," he repeats, "this is just a phase. you'll get over it and things will go back to normal." he pauses, glaring at you.
he clenches his jaw, his eyes becoming cold and intense. "you're not going anywhere," he says firmly, his voice almost a growl. "i won't let you leave. we are perfect together. you can't just decide to end it like this. we're meant to be."
you feel a shiver run down your spine, but you stand your ground. "theodore, you don't own me," you reply, your voice shaking despite your efforts to stay calm. "i have every right to end this relationship if that's what i want. you can't force me to stay."
he stands up abruptly, knocking his chair to the floor. "i'm not letting you leave," he says again, his voice low and dangerous. "i won't let you ruin this. you always ruin everything but i'm not letting you ruin us. you're mine and i'm yours, remember?" he steps closer to you, closing the distance between you. he grabs your shoulders making you stand up, his grip tight and possessive.
you feel your heart skip a beat as he pulls you closer, his grip on your shoulders firm and unyielding. your mind races, a swirl of emotions fighting for dominance. fear... uncertainty... but also a hint of compassion. you care for him, deep down. but you know that this relationship isn't healthy. you're trapped in a cycle of love and fear, your emotions torn.
you feel trapped, your heart pounded in your chest as he looms over you. "you're not going anywhere," he says, his voice lowering to a growl. "i won't let you leave me. you're mine." he repeats.
he reaches out, his hand grabbing your arm. his grip is firm but not painful. "you're just confused," he says, his voice softening slightly. "i know you don't really want to end this. you just need to let me convince you." his thumb gently caresses your skin, sending a wave of uneasiness down your spine.
you look up into his eyes, seeing the anguish and desperation there. he's clinging to the idea of you, refusing to let you go.
he steps even closer, using his other hand to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. "i love you," he says, his voice taking on a pleading tone. "can't you see how much i love you? we can get past this. just give me a chance."
