Chapter 76: Under Siege

*The Monastery* 

"You're the Deceiver?" Jay asked in a surprised tone as Wu sat with his backs to the Ninja. "Wait, wait, wait, let me get this straight. You broke your own father's law, snuck into the land of the Serpentine, and nearly started a war?" Kai asked in a stern tone as he raised his brow at Wu as he stood up and faced the Ninja.

"It...it wasn't quite that–" Wu started but Cole cut him off, "and you befriended a snake, and thought it would be a good idea to teach her Spinjitzu?" Cole questioned in an angered and annoyed tone. "Well, it was a complicated–" Wu tried to continue before he was interrupted again.

"And then you stole a dangerous scroll from your father, the First Spinjitzu Master, and broke the law again to defeat her?" Pixal asked as they all stared at him. Jay and Cole both had their hands on their hips while Kai punched his fist against his hand as if he were a baseball player, while Pixal stood there with a confused and pained expression.

"Yes. Okay? Yes, I admit it all. What can I say? I was young and reckless. And...and...foolish" Wu sighed as he looked down at the floor. "I never thought to hear the name Aspheera again. I thought all of this was in the past" Wu said in a saddened tone. "I thought the same when I lost Morro, but the world doesn't accept unfinished stories" Y/N said as she had her arms crossed.

The building began to thud and rumble as all of them grunted, going into a wider stance to make sure they wouldn't fall. "What was that?" Pixal asked as she watched the dust fall off the ceiling. "The past, catching up to us" Y/N said as she looked at Wu before she and the Ninja, Wu and Pixal ran out to the courtyard to see fire appearing before the entrance doors.

Y/N jumped up onto the wall with the others following after her as they looked down the mountain to see Aspheera's army headed up the steps towards the Monastery. Y/N's eyes widened as the big fire snake shot a fireball right at them. "Look out!" Cole shouted as he tackled Y/N out of the way, causing the fireball to set fire to the top of the entrance.

Y/N grunted slightly as Cole helped her up. "Looks like Lloyd and the others didn't slow Aspheera down much" Y/N said as she placed her hand on her hip, her hand glowing slightly as she finished healing the wound she got earlier from in the museum.

"This is because of you, Master Wu. You're our teacher, the one that's always lecturing about responsibility, and, and true potential" Kai shouted in an angered tone as he stared at Wu. "I made a mistake. I never thought this would come back to haunt me" Wu said in a saddened tone.

Another fireball struck the Monastery wall, causing them to grunt as they held themselves up. "I can't believe this," Kai shouted as he looked down at the snakes.

"Get down!" Jay shouted as they all jumped back into the courtyard as another fireball hit the entrance doors.

Cole grunted slightly, "you said your father created two scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu, correct?" Cole asked as he looked at Wu, "yes. We used them to defeat Aspheera, which made my father very angry. He hid them from us" Wu explained as another fireball struck the Monastery walls. "Hid them where?" Y/N asked in a more urgent tone. "I don't know" Wu answered as he looked at Y/N and Cole.

"Well, someone must have found them. Because Aspheera got one of the scrolls at the museum" Kai explained. Another fireball hit the Monastery as they all ran towards the gold dragon statue. "So where's the second scroll?" Jay asked in an urgent tone. "If the scroll was at the museum, logic would dictate an archaeologist or explorer found them" Pixal explained. "Clutch Powers!" the four Ninja said at the same time.

*A bit later*

Y/N touched the ear piece in her ear, "Lloyd. Nya. Zane" Y/N called out, "we are here. But we have bad news. We have lost Aspheera" Zane explained, "that's okay. We found her. She's attacking the temple" Y/N informed the other three Ninja.

"What?" Lloyd shouted, making Y/N wince slightly at the sound in her ear, "yeah, that's not all. We found out who the Deceiver is, and, um, well, I'm just gonna say it. It's Wu" Y/N said in a quieter tone. She heard Zane and Nya gasp, "what?" Lloyd said, clearly shocked at the news.

"It's a long story. The good news is, we have a plan. We know how to defeat Aspheera. There's another scroll out there somewhere, and we think Clutch knows where it is" Y/N explained. "Great. So where's Clutch?" Nya asked.
