*the museum*
Y/N grunted as she and Cole moved the rocks out of the way. "That way" Lloyd said as he led the way out of the museum, "come on" he ordered as they soon made their way out of the museum to see Aspheera's huge snake, known as Fire-Fang, shrieking.
"We gotta stop that thing" Lloyd said, "wait, Lloyd. Aspheera has beaten us twice, and with the scroll, she is more powerful than ever" Zane said, Lloyd turned to face the Ninja, "we can't just give up" Lloyd argued, "I am not proposing that. But Master Wu taught us to think before rushing into battle. We need to know more about her and this Deceiver. Perhaps then, we will find a way to defeat her" Zane explained, "you're talking ancient Serpentine history" Kai said as he looked at Y/N who had her hand on her rib.
"Yeah, who do you plan to ask?" Cole asked while looking between Zane and Y/N. "What about Scales? Well, he's Serpentine. Maybe he knows" Jay explained, "the Serpentine don't usually get involved" Nya admitted. "Only one way to find out," Y/N said as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Okay, Y/N, Jay, Cole and Kai, you guys track down Scales. Find out what you can" Lloyd ordered, "well, what are you gonna do?" Kai asked while raising his brow, "we're gonna see if we can slow Aspheera down and get that scroll back. Come on!" Lloyd shouted as they ran away from the museum.

*the sewers*
Y/N pulled away the cover before jumping into the sewer, grunting slightly as she grabbed her rib again. "Shit" Y/N cursed under her breath as she straightened her posture as Jay hopped down after her, Kai and Cole following after him. Jay turned on a flashlight and pointed it around, "aw. Why does Scales have to live in a sewer? Doesn't the smell bother him? It smells like Cole's sock" Jay whined while plugging his nose, Y/N felt the corner of her mouth tug up slightly as she tried not to laugh as she walked beside Jay. "Hey" Cole whined as he and Kai ran after Y/N and Jay.
As they came up to a three way tunnel, they looked up at each of the Serpentine writing on it. "Oh, great. I don't suppose either of you know how to read Serpentine?" Cole asked while resting his arm on Y/N's shoulder as he leaned on her slightly. "Nope," Kai said with his hands on his hips, "not me," Jay shrugged. "Never got that far in my books" Y/N said sarcastically.
"Ah. We should have brought Zane" Cole whined, Y/N sighed deeply as she stared at the symbols, "well, we might as well flip a coin" Kai said lazily as he shook his head. "Oh, what's the difference? Which tunnel was it again?" Jay asked. "I say we go back and...ah!" Y/N shouted as when she turned around she was met face-to-face with a sword and three serpentine members. The three Serpentine hissed at them as Y/N put her hands up slightly.

*Serpentine entrance*
The one Serpentine shoved Y/N forward towards a door with two blue crystal lights on either side and two Serpentine guarding the door. Y/N grunted as she grabbed her rib in pain. Y/N felt Cole hit her back slightly as he grabbed onto her arms to stabilize himself so he wouldn't fall on her. "Hey, watch it" Cole shouted as he looked back at the three Serpentine, "yeah, we're friends with Scales, you know" Jay said as he smirked slightly, "and he's not gonna be happy when he hears you were shoving us around" Kai argued as he glared at the Serpentine.
Y/N turned as she heard the door open. "Is that what we are?" Scales hissed as he slithered towards them with his hands behind his back, "friends?" Scales hissed as the doors closed behind him. "Sure we are, right? Pal?" Kai questioned as he smiled slightly, "everytime you come down here, it's because someone is trying to destroy the surface world" Scales explained in a harsh tone, Cole chuckled nervously while Y/N looked at the Ninja and sighed slightly.
"You're right. We're here because someone's attacking the surface world, and we need your help. Okay? We need to know about Aspheera and the Treacherous Deceiver" Y/N said as she held her rib slightly. Scales' eyes widened, "Aspheera is part of our history. But this other name...Treacherous Deceiver. This, I have never heard. But there is one who may know. Follow me" Scales said as he turned back to the door and pushed it open. Y/N smiled as she looked at the boys, "and that's how you do it" Y/N whispered as she followed after Scales.
But just as Y/N walked in with the boys, her eyes widened at the sight of a massive library, the same blue crystals lighting up the dark room. "Whoa" Y/N said as she looked around. "This is Acidicus. He runs our library. He loves books" Scales explained as they walked up to a green snake.
"Never knew I'd find a new reading buddy" Y/N whispered to Cole, Cole chuckled slightly as he rolled his eyes playfully at her.
"They wish to know about Aspheera and the Treacherous Deceiver," Scales explained to Acidicus. "Aspheera...who tried to overthrow King Mambo the Fifth. And the Treacherous Deceiber who betrayed her...yes...I know this tale" Acidicus said while climbing a ladder and grabbing a book.
"In the time of the First Spinjitzu Master, there was a truce between humans and Serpentine. Humans were forbidden to enter the valley of the Serpentine, and the Serpentine were forbidden from human lands. But one wilful child disobeyed the law" Acidicus explained as he opened the book.
"A boy went among the Serpentine and was caught. He would have been punished, but he was rescued by a Serpentine girl. The girl and the boy became friends. But the boy was evil and corrupted the Serpentine girl. He turned her against her own king and was betrayed by the boy" Acidicus said as they looked at the story.
"Hey...does that look familiar to anyone?" Cole asked while leaning closer to the book. "That's the scroll Aspheera stole from the museum" Y/N explained as she looked at Cole. "It is the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu" Acidicus explained, "oh, shit. I think I just realized who the Treacherous Deceiver is" Y/N said as she scratched her arm slightly.
"Who?" Cole asked as he turned to look at her, "yeah, spit it out" Kai said while looking at her. "Ugh, think about it. Who is, like, super, super, super old, and is treacherous enough to befriend a snake and then betray her?" Y/N asked as she looked at the three of them. "Garmadon" the three boys said at the same time and with the same amount of confusion.

*the Monastery*
The four Ninja ran back to the Monastery as fast as they could and quickly stopped once they saw Wu. "There's an evil Serpentine sorceress called Aspheera attacking the city" Jay shouted with worry as he pushed Y/N's shoulder slightly.
"Aspheera?" Wu repeated as he turned to look at the four Ninja, "yeah, Garmadon betrayed her and locked her in a pyramid for a thousand years" Kai explained, "and she is ticked off. She's not gonna stop until she finds him" Jay said as he snapped his fingers.
Y/N watched Wu's reaction and watched as everything pieced together. "She's not looking for Garmadon...is she? She is looking...for you" Y/N said as she watched Wu look at her with a saddened look on his face, like he had betrayed her.
