*The Monastery*
The sounds of punches rang through the Dojo. Kai slid open the door and leaned against the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest. Punches were followed by heavy breaths and grunts, sweat falling to the ground as the room was dimly lit by the covered window. "You gonna stay in here and blame yourself all day, or are you gonna help me with Jay?" Kai asked as he stared at her back, she was wearing a gray tank top with black leggings, she was barefoot with her right foot being bandaged, along with her knuckles on each hand and a bandage on her bicep.
Y/N didn't answer Kai as she sent a kick to the punching bag, a loud thud being heard as the punching bag swung side to side. Y/N kept landing punches on it, her sweat dropping onto the floor and down her skin. "You can't stay in here all day, you have to do something other than feel bad about yourself" Kai said as he walked over to her, grabbing her water bottle and small towel. She glanced at him as she punched the bag harder.
"You're not my father, I'll do what I want" Y/N spat as she grabbed the water bottle and sat down on a chair, slouching in it as she took a few gulps of water, soothing the soreness in her throat. Y/N leaned her elbows onto her knees as she let her head hang low, her sweat dripping down her forehead and back.
Kai sighed as he moved the end of her messy ponytail to the side as she wiped the sweat off her neck. "Jay wants to give my sister a promise proposal, he wanted to practice on me, but I think it would be better if you did it" Kai said as he wiped her back slightly before he kneeled down in front of her. Y/N looked at him through her eyelashes, "why me" Y/N asked in more of a demanding tone than a questioned one.
"You're a girl. And you're more blunt than I am" Kai said as he watched her think about it as she leaned back and put her hand out, Kai smirked as he handed her the sweat towel and watched as she wiped her face and chest.
"So, is that a yes?" Kai asked as he raised his sliced brow at her, Y/N glanced at him as she then looked away, "fine, but only because Nya is like a sister to me. We may not be sisters by blood, but we are by heart" Y/N said softly as she nodded at Kai. Kai smiled at her as he nodded, grateful for her help.

*a few minutes later*
"Nya? I've wanted to ask you this for...a...long time. Will you...be my Yang?" Jay asked nervously as he held up his Yin and Yang to Y/N and Kai. "No, no, no. You can't ask like that" Kai said as he looked at Jay on his one knee in front of Y/N, "why not?" Jay asked as he looked up at them. "You have to ask with confidence. Like this" Kai said as he shoved Jay to the side and went in front of Y/N.
"Hey, Nya, how's it going? I've been thinking..." Kai said as he immediately grabbed Y/N's hand "...you and me...we make a pretty good pair" Kai said as he smirked at Y/N before going behind her and placing his hands on her biceps. "So what do you say we make it official?" Kai asked as he moved around her, grabbing Jay's Yin and Yang, getting down on his knee and showing it up to Y/N, "will you be my Yang?" Kai asked as he smirked up at Y/N, giving her a slight wink. Y/N playfully gasped as she grabbed Jay's Yin and Yang with a smile, "yes" Y/N said playfully as she batted her eyelashes at Kai.
Kai looked over at Jay and shrugged his shoulders, "see?" Kai said in a cocky tone, "wait, no. I can't ask like that. It doesn't feel right. It feels too...I don't know–cocky" Jay said as he looked at Kai, Y/N laughed loudly as she slapped Kai's shoulder playfully.
"Who's cocky?" Darreth asked as he walked into the Dojo and towards Y/N, Kai and Jay. "Nobody" Kai said as he nudged Y/N harshly into the side, Y/N giggled as she motioned to Jay, "Jay's trying to find the right way to ask Nya to be his Yang" Y/N said with a soft smile. "Seriously? You and Nya? Wow" Darreth said with a slight giggle. "Aw. Kai, Y/N, do you mind?" Jay whined as he looked at the two in front of him. "Oh, sorry. It's supposed to be a secret, so don't tell anyone" Kai said as he pointed his finger at Darreth.
"The Yin Yang promise is a beautiful and sacred tradition, Jay. Congratulations. Ah. I'm so excited to be a part of it. Eh. I-I am a part of it, right?" Darreth asked as he looked at Jay. "Yes, Darreth" Jay said in a slightly annoyed tone, Y/N tried to hide her smile as she walked up to Jay, "if he ever asks Nya" Kai said as he placed his hand on Darreth's shoulder.
"Ask me what?" Nya asked as she came into view, wearing a light teal kimono, her hair done nicely and her skin glowing. "Um...ask you where you got that shirt–haha–because it's awesome. I want one" Jay said as he passed Kai his Yin and Yang before walking up to Nya. "It's a kimono, Jay. A traditional gown worn by women" Nya said as he looked at him with a smile. "Uh...guys can wear them, too," Jay said quickly in a nervous tone. Darreth ran in between Jay and Nya, "ooh, I would look so good in a kimono" Darreth said with a bright smile as he pictured himself in a kimono.
