Chapter 158-The Good Place

PEARL'S P.O.V

"Sis!" Bella called once she saw me and a smile appeared as I approached her and we embraced. I was indeed taken aback by her presence.

"Hey" I said as we pulled out, she had a bright smile on her lips, infact the smile wasn't the only thing looking bright on her this morning. "Oh my gosh, you're glowing" I praised, spinning her around she chuckled.

"Thank you" she appreciated and I smiled. "Come on" I linked hands with her and we headed up the stairs to my office. Once we both got in, we took seats, hers was opposite mine.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't make it to Bethany's wedding..."

"It's okay, she understands. You have been busy" I waved it off and she nodded. "But I'm really happy for her, when is she gonna be back?"

"I gave her a week off for her honeymoon but knowing Bethany, she could take two" I answered and she chuckled.

It filled my soul with gladness, seeing her so bright and happy this morning. "So,how is everything going?" I asked, sitting up.

"Well, that's why I'm here. Everything is done!" She announced and my mouth dropped open. "Oh my gosh!"

"You were so right, Ron is the best" she praised and I nodded. "I'm so happy for you, so what's next?" I inquired. "The opening. A date has been set and it's next Friday, on the 8th"

"Wo, way to go Mrs Wayne" I praised and she laughed. "I'm really proud of you" I asked and she leaned on the table and grabbed hold of my hand. "It wouldn't have been possible without you"

"Oh please" I waved it off. "I'm serious, Pearl. I owe you a lot" she said, her fingers rubbing mine and I pulled out a smile. "I'm just happy you got what you wanted, though I'm sorry I haven't dropped by to-"

"Why do you think I'm here?" She interrupted. "We are going to Vega's place right now!"

I laughed and obliged, getting up, she did too. "This is an official invite to the opening. I want you and Travis there more than anyone"

"Who would wanna miss your cooking?" I teased and she laughed as we headed out of the office. Getting down the stairs, there was Davis and Kourtney in the lobby.

"Oh my gosh!" She heaved and they turned to us. "Hey Bella" he had his out out and she walked towards him and embraced him. I stood beside watching them interact.

This was my family right here. Everything was so perfect.

I sighed and put my hair up in the bun. It was the second day of the new month-Saturday. He left to Washington yesterday and promised to be back today, so I was expecting him.

My phone began buzzing and I glanced down at it, it was Hillary. I answered immediately with a big smile on my lips. "Hey Hill"

"Hey, what's up?" She asked. "Everything is fine, how's London?"

She let out a sigh, "Bro,I wish I never came back. Work has been hectic" she complained. "Alright now, you don't want to hurt my godchild, easy with the work"

I'm pretty sure she rolled her eyes at my statement. "You're godchild is the one making my life pretty hard. I told my family and... suddenly I was a white china glass that can't touch the ground. They all think I'm fragile!" She wailed and I laughed.

"They are happy for you"

"Can they do it without making me feel so...small?" She said and I grinned and got up and walked to the bed. "You can always come back to LA, I do like some company "
