TRAVIS'S P.O.V
I tore my eyes from the shelf and turned back to Jeffrey. "The recording in the tape has been scraped, I sent it over to some technician and they will try to work it out but I'm not sure we could get the video" he have me a rundown and I dipped my hand into my pocket, taking in the office.
My eyes moving to the chair behind the desk, I felt his ominous presence there.
"Anything else?"
"I stationed security everywhere like you asked" he added and I nodded. "Continue, ransack the whole place" I ordered and he nodded, I sighed and walked towards the door. "Mr Ferrari "
I paused and glanced back at him, "How's Mrs Ferrari?" He asked and I paused, the thought of her flooding my mind immediately.
I don't think they ever stopped, it just resumed again. "She's fine" I answered before continuing to head to the door.
Once out I sighed and went down the hall, she's all I could think about, she's been the one thing on my mind since I landed this morning. How could she not be?
Everything that transpired on Friday, from the rain to the motel, every single moment couldn't be erased—or regretted.
"Travis!"
I halted in my tracks, letting out a low sigh, I turned back to my Mother. "When did you get back?" She asked, glancing into the office, her eyes shot open.
"What is going on here? What are they doing!" She exclaimed. "Let them do their job" I stated before continuing down the hall.
"Travis!" I heard her rabid footsteps and immediately she was in front of me. "Cosa stanno facendo nell'ufficio di tuo padre?" She demanded and my gaze flickered to her harsh ones.
"Are you gonna desecrate your father's memory too?!" She shouted. "Don't bother yourself, Mother. If there's anyone doing that it's your other son" I assured, walking past her.
"What are you even doing back here?!" She fired, following me again. "Don't bother!"
She grabbed my arm, stopping me once again. "What are your plans for the company? There's going to be another board meeting, the final votes. Non dirmi che te ne andrai così facilmente."
I turned to her fully, "You wanted Trent to have a place"
"What is wrong with you, Travis? You're father chose you! You should fight for it"
"My kind of fight is killing Trent"
"Non dire così su tuo fratello!"
"Then you'll give me answers then" I said, taking a step closer to her. "Stop being a coward!"
"Do you know the shit his doing to get all of this. È venuto per la mia famiglia, è venuto per Pearl!" I gritted and saw a flicker in her eyes, she lets out a low sigh.
"Travis, I talked to him—" she reached for my arm but I swat it off. "Stronzate."
"He just needs guidance, you should guide him, he's your brother" she whispered and I let out a low groan, shaking my head.
"You say I should fight, I shouldn't give up and you still say I should guide him. Don't you see how those two are contradicting! He's going to different heights to make my life a living hell and you think he needs guidance?!"
