PEARL'S P.O.V

I stepped out of the house, my fingers dialing his number again. I've called him 5 times this morning, he was making me look desperate but maybe I was. It's Friday and he wasn't back, doesn't he have a deadline on his trips.

I hissed as I didn't get a response and looked up Abel who was by the car.

"The Empire" I gave him directions and he got my car open for me, I got in and the door was shut. The thud startling me like I didn't expect it, I needed to get myself together. I was on edge.

But why do I have this feeling? He normally takes this long trips but why was I antsy about this one. He will always pick my calls because I rarely call but he didn't answer 5 good times, something was definitely wrong.

We arrived the Empire and I stepped out, flicking my hair over my shoulder. For today, I wore a black long sleeve button up shirt and a matching skirt with silver heels and my purse.

I walked forward, going up the stairs and into the double doors to the grand lobby. My gaze settled to the receptionist and she made a little bow, I returned it with a curt nod and headed straight to the elevator.

The door was about sliding shut close but one of the men held it back, revealing the group of people already inside. I mentally hissed and stepped in, I wasn't in that much of a hurry.

The doors slid shut and the ride began and so did the whispering. I crossed my hands over my chest, rolling my eyes.

Once the doors slid open, I was the first to step out, my heels clinking on the clear marble floor. I stopped at his door and pushed it open. Harrison looked up from the documents in his hand and got up immediately.

"Mrs Ferrari..."

I shot him a narrowed look as I walked in, shutting the door behind me. My eyes moving to his desk, it was empty, he wasn't here. "...what a lovely surprise"

"Where is Mr Ferrari?" I asked, coming down the stairs, hands crossed over my chest. "Mr Ferrari?" He still asked and I shot him a look, taking a step closer. He didn't meet my eyes, hands behind his back.

"Who else would I be here for?" I retorted. "I'm sorry for the question, Mrs Ferrari"

I walked past him and headed to the desk. His table was neatly arranged and from the look of it, he hasn't been here at all. I turned back to Harrison, he was watching me.

"Where is he?"

"Mr Ferrari is still in business" he answered and I walked down the stairs to him. "Since Monday?"

"Yes"

"Where?"

"Washington"

"Then why Isn't he picking my call?" I asked and he hesitated before answering. "I'm not sure about that, Mrs Ferrari" he answered and I let out a long sigh.

"Harrison, I'm stressed"

"I'm sorry about that, Mrs Ferrari"

"Don't apologize, I just want to know when he's gonna get back" I answered. "Very soon" he said and I shot him a pointed look before hissing and heading out of the office.

I stepped out of the office and let out a sigh, my phone began buzzing in my bag and I got it out, it was Kourtney calling. I answered at the second ring and continued down the hall.

"Pearl"

"I'm on my way, Kourtney" I replied, exasperated. "Yeah but can you be...quick?"

"It's barely nine" I replied. "I know but do you remember that... appointment... that was scheduled for today?"
