Time passed slowly, with little happening, except for a few moments when Granger and Dumbledore tried to insert themselves into Adelaide's life and that of her pack. It was evident to the pack that the Muggle-born witch was still pursuing the Weasley twins, frequently attempting to gain their attention, regardless of whether it was Fred or George. Naturally, she was left disappointed each time. It seemed that her repeated rejections were causing problems not only for her but also for Dumbledore, who had taken to stopping the twins in the halls to subtly suggest that they bond with Hermione.

The end-of-year exams started in June and while some of the pack disliked studying, Adelaide had expressed passionately how important they were and when that didn't work, she bribed them with baked goods made by her.

The Transfiguration exam contained difficult tasks, including turning a teapot into a tortoise. Adelaide and her third-year pack members succeeded effortlessly, while some students ' tortoises still had tails, could breathe steam and had willow-patterned shells.

The Charms exam was pretty simple and was tasked to perform the cheering charm, freezing spell and many more. Ron, who was partnered with Neville, had overdone the cheering charm and had to lead his friend to a quiet room until the charm ran out. The Slytherin boys showed off by performing spells years beyond their age while Adelaide used wandlessly magic for each spell and charm.

Potions were the most difficult for the majority of students because despite Snape no longer being under the influence of compulsions from Dumbledore, the man was still an extremely strict professor and favourited Slytherin, expressing his dislike for the other houses by intimidating and insulting them. This caused Neville and Ron to ruin their confusing concoction, not being able to thicken the potion no matter what they did. By the end, it was clear they failed their Potions exam.

The history of magic exam was long and boring, focusing mainly on the goblin war and the medieval witch-hunt. Luckily for the third-year pack members, they had studied for all types of magical history, even when some of the topics hadn't been included in the exam. They quickly noticed how overwhelmed Granger was with the exam, which was a surprise to Adelaide as she had bragged about how easy it was the last time. It made her wonder if no longer having access to her vaults had somehow lessened Granger's intelligence due to the lack of ancient information.

The defence against the dark arts exam was the most unusual but enjoyable. Professor Lupin or Uncle Moony to the pack had put together some sort of obstacle course outside in the sun where they had to wade across a deep paddling pool containing grindylow, cross a series of potholes full of red caps, squish their way across a patch of the marsh while ignoring misleading directions from a hinkypunk, then climb into an old trunk and battle with a boggart. For extra credit, the Marauders and Maraudettes performed the Patronus charm which Adelaide had spent a few weeks teaching them in the room of requirement.

Care of magical creatures was the easiest, having to keep a flobberworm alive for the entire hour and because it was the most simple, Granger had decided to use this time to get some sort of reaction out of Adelaide in hopes of ruining her reputation amongst the students.

"I heard a little rumour-" Heads turned to Granger, who wore a smug smirk on her face as she approached Adelaide, who was working in a group with Draco, Ron and Dean. "Apparently, Potter-Black is going around having sex with many people. Planning on getting pregnant anytime soon?"

Attention shifted to Adelaide, whose back was pressed against Ron's chest while one of his arms was wrapped around her waist, his hand settled on her stomach. The affectionate pose seemed to spike people's curiosity and made them wonder if Granger's words were somewhat true. The pack, however, grew defensive and jealous of the thought of Adelaide sleeping with others in the future that's not them.
