Hello everyone, I'm sorry its been a while since I've uploaded but I was going through some personal things and then I went on vacation, so I didn't have much time. Anyway, heres finally a chapter and I hope you enjoy! ✌️🏼😝

The property that once belonged to Sebastian Pike was larger than the three Lords had anticipated. Although it was unfurnished, Sirius decided to purchase the place as soon as he imagined all the possibilities for the space. He and King Ragnok arranged for contractors and interior designers to meet with Adelaide to discuss the layout of their new business.

Meanwhile, Adelaide took a small stroll to get fresh air outside the manor. While she adored her family, she often forgot that she was no longer at the Dursleys, where she had been ignored and unable to roam freely without being scolded or having objects thrown her way. Which means she can become rather overwhelmed when around people for too long. Recently, she had also started experiencing nightmares about the war, where she had to watch the people she loved die in the most horrific ways. To protect her pack from the fear, guilt, and grief that usually accompanied these nightmares, Adelaide had blocked her side of the bond during the night.

It was early evening, and a warm breeze rustled the nearby trees. Adelaide observed the Muggles going about their day—popping in and out of stores, rushing to catch buses, and groups of teenagers making a ruckus during the after-work rush. She wondered how much simpler life would be if she were a Muggle, free from the pressures and expectations placed upon her. However, she knew she wouldn't have the incredible people in her life, and she cherished each one. Sometimes, though, she felt overwhelmed by the affection, devotion, and loyalty they showed her, especially in moments when she truly believed she didn't deserve it.

She was pulled from her thoughts as she collided with something, causing her little shoulder bag to fall to the floor.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" A male voice — one surprisingly familiar caused her head to snap up. Her eyes widened slightly before she quickly grabbed her bag and secured it over her shoulder. "Wait, I know you"

"And I know you." Her voice was clipped but not harsh, surprising not only herself but also the older teenager in front of her.

Eric Hardy was two years older than her and was the only person Dudley and his gang feared. Many considered Eric to be troubled; he was often seen alone, getting into fights and smoking an excessive number of cigarettes for someone so young. Rumours circulated about his difficult home life. Some suggested it was filled with abuse and neglect, while others, mostly teachers and parents, merely viewed him as a rebellious teenager and discouraged their children from associating with him. Adelaide, on the other hand, saw Eric as someone who closed his heart and preferred to be alone — much like herself at that time, to prevent himself from being emotionally and mentally hurt more than he already was.

"You're Adelaide Potter, right?" His tone suggested he already knew perfectly who Adelaide was, as well as the smirk on his face that was oddly attractive to her.

"You're Eric Hardy, right?" She mimicked his tone, earning a genuine laugh from the blonde-haired Muggle.

"That I am, surprised you remembered"

"How could I not, you had such a warm reputation" Eric's face fell a little before he placed a smile on his face, one without his usual confidence and charm. Instead, it was softer and more vulnerable than she had ever seen on his face.

"Yeah... sorry 'bout that. Things are different now" Adelaide wasn't entirely sure why it felt as though he was trying to convince himself more than her but assumed he was still going through some trouble in his life and was trying to make himself feel better.
