"He thought he was alone... until they made him theirs."
The university campus buzzed with life—students chatting on the lawns, music echoing from open studio doors, and laughter drifting down from open windows. Among the most admired faces were the seven members of Stray Kids, always together, always glowing with talent. People waved at them, whispered about them, tried to get close.
But not everyone got the warm welcome.
"Who's the new guy?" someone muttered in the hallway.
"The one with the freckles?" another snorted. "Looks like he drew 'em on with a pencil."
"And what is he even saying? Can't understand a word—speak Korean, idiot."
Felix clutched his books tighter to his chest, eyes downcast, trying to move past the group without bumping into anyone. His thick accent, soft voice, and broken Korean made him stand out too much. He'd come all the way from Australia, hoping for a new start... but from day one, it had been anything but kind.
By lunch, the bullying had escalated.
He'd tried to hide behind the art building, thinking it would be quiet, thinking he could just eat in peace. But five guys cornered him, sneering.
"Oi, freckle face, still can't talk properly?"
"Look at you. You think just 'cause you're pretty, people will like you?"
"Pathetic."
Felix didn't even fight back. He just curled into a ball on the ground as the kicks came—one to his back, one to his side, a painful hit to the head that made his ears ring.
"Hey!" a voice roared.
The bullies froze, turning just in time to see Changbin storming toward them, fists clenched, Minho right behind him, eyes cold and full of rage.
"The hell do you think you're doing?" Minho growled.
One of the guys laughed nervously, "Just messing around—"
Changbin didn't wait. He slammed his fist into the guy's face, sending him flying into the wall. "Five against one? You think that's funny?!"
Minho moved like lightning, kicking one of them in the stomach and sending him sprawling. Two more tried to run—Minho grabbed one by the collar and threw him down before aiming a brutal punch to the jaw. The last one barely got away, limping.
The moment they were gone, Minho dropped to his knees beside Felix.
"Hey," he said gently, brushing curls away from Felix's bloodied face. "Hey, look at me."
Felix's eyes fluttered open for a second—dazed, unfocused—before he went limp.
"Shit," Minho hissed. "He's unconscious."
"Get the nurse," Changbin said urgently. "I'll carry him."
"No," Minho said quickly, already lifting Felix's small body into his arms. "You text the others. Tell them to meet us there."
"On it."
Minho walked as fast as he could without jostling Felix too much, arms tightening around the boy when he whimpered softly in his sleep. His face was pale. Too pale.
By the time they reached the nurse's office, Minho was shaking with adrenaline and barely-contained fury.
The nurse gasped, rushing over. "What happened?"
"Bullies," Minho said shortly. "He was out cold when we found him."
As the nurse began tending to Felix's injuries, Changbin leaned against the wall, typing fast into the group chat.
[Changbin]: emergency. come to nurse's office. now.
[Jisung]: what happened??
[Chan]: is everyone okay?
