"One weekend. One toddler. One family made complete."

"Are we really doing this?" Chan asked as he stood in front of the orphanage gates, hands tucked in his jacket pockets.

"We're just meeting him," Seungmin replied, already halfway up the steps. "Not adopting a kid on the spot."

"You say that now," Hyunjin muttered under his breath.

Jeongin looked up at the small building with a curious tilt of his head. "I've never been to an orphanage before."

Changbin leaned over to knock on the door. "Just be cool. We're seven grown men looking for a toddler. Totally normal."

Jisung laughed. "That sentence sounds illegal."

The door opened before anyone could respond, and a kind-looking woman greeted them. "Hello! You must be the group from JYPE. I'm Ms. Park, the director here."

Chan nodded and smiled. "Yes, thank you for having us. We were wondering if there might be a toddler available for a short project we're doing next week. Nothing too demanding—just something light, and we'd make sure he's safe and comfortable."

Ms. Park gave a knowing smile. "Actually, we do have someone who might be perfect. He's two years old, very friendly, and he loves attention."

She turned her head and called softly down the hallway, "Lixie, come meet our guests!"

Tiny footsteps echoed across the floor, followed by a little gasp. Around the corner came a tiny boy with blond curls, wearing mismatched socks and a shirt with a cartoon dinosaur on it.

He froze for a second, then his eyes lit up.

"Whoa!" he exclaimed, toddling over without hesitation. "You so big!"

Hyunjin crouched down, grinning. "You're tiny."

Felix puffed his cheeks. "I not tiny. I two."

"Very grown up," Minho said, kneeling beside him. "What's your name, buddy?"

"Lixie!" he said proudly, then looked around at all of them. "You all daddies?"

Jisung choked on a laugh. "No, no. Not yet."

"We're just here to see if you wanna hang out with us for a bit," Jeongin said gently.

"I get snack?" Felix asked, his voice suddenly very serious.

"We'll get you all the snacks," Changbin promised.

Felix beamed and held out both arms. "Let go!"

Ms. Park chuckled as she handed over a small backpack. "He warms up fast. Just make sure he naps, and don't give him too much sugar unless you want to see him climb your walls."

The seven men laughed as they filed out of the orphanage, Felix perched on Chan's hip, babbling excitedly.

"Where we goin'?" he asked, swinging his little legs.

"To our house," Chan said. "You'll stay with us for a couple days. We'll play, eat snacks, and have fun."

"I like fun. And snacks. And shoes!" Felix wiggled one sock-covered foot. "I no have shoe. Lost it in da yard."

"Okay, first stop—shoes," Seungmin said, already typing into his phone.

On the ride back, Felix sat in Minho's lap, pointing out every truck, dog, and bird he saw through the window.

"I name dat one Kevin," he declared, pointing at a pigeon.

"Noted," Minho said, grinning.

By the time they got to the dorm, Felix had claimed the center of the living room floor, surrounded by throw pillows, three juice boxes, and a very patient Hyunjin who was letting him braid his hair with a plastic fork.
