"In a world of betrayal, he found a family who would never let him go."

The heavy scent of fear filled the office the moment the pack stepped inside. Chan led the way, his posture relaxed but dangerous, followed by Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Jisung, Seungmin, and Jeongin — each one radiating pure, simmering power.

Mr. Lee stood from behind his cluttered desk, his hands wringing nervously. "Gentlemen," he stammered, voice shaking, "I-I wasn't expecting you so soon."

Chan smiled coldly. "Your deadline was yesterday. We're already being generous."

Mr. Lee swallowed hard. "Please, I just need a little more time—"

"No," Chan cut him off sharply. "You had enough time. Changbin?"

Changbin cracked his knuckles, stepping forward with a dark grin. "Should I start with the fingers?"

Mr. Lee blanched. "Wait! Wait!" He backed up until he hit the wall. "I... I have something else to offer."

Chan's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Better be good."

Panting, Mr. Lee stumbled over his words. "My—my youngest son... Felix. He just presented as an omega. Beautiful boy. Perfect. He can pay off my debt."

The pack stiffened immediately, exchanging sharp looks. Chan's lip curled. "Selling your own blood to save yourself? Pathetic."

But before anyone could say more, Mr. Lee spun toward the door. "Felix! Get in here!"

The door creaked open slowly, and a small figure entered.

Felix.

He was delicate — golden hair falling into big brown eyes wide with terror. He smelled faintly of vanilla and something deeper, something that made every alpha in the room stiffen, jaws locking.

Mate.

The realization slammed into them all at once. Minho let out a low, warning growl, stepping forward instinctively, hand twitching to grab Felix and pull him close. The boy looked terrified, shrinking from his father's side without even glancing at the pack.

Felix flinched when Mr. Lee roughly grabbed his arm. "You see? Healthy, obedient. He'll do anything you want!"

Minho growled louder, his wolf snarling to take him.

Chan raised a hand, voice sharp. "We'll take him."

Mr. Lee smiled in greasy relief — until Chan's next words cut him down. "But he won't pay off your debt."

The relief turned to rage in an instant. Mr. Lee yanked Felix roughly back against his chest. "Then you don't get him!"

Felix whimpered quietly, trying to pull away. That was all it took.

The entire pack snarled, the sound rumbling through the air like thunder. Chan took a step forward, his voice cold and lethal. "Let him go... or I'll rip your throat out myself."

Mr. Lee froze, fear paralyzing him. His hand loosened on Felix's arm, then shoved him forward roughly. Felix stumbled — but Minho was already there, catching him gently against his chest. He lifted Felix as if he weighed nothing, tucking the trembling omega protectively against him.

Chan glared at Mr. Lee, his smile full of promise. "You have one week to get our money together. After that... you won't have anything left to sell."

Without another word, the pack turned and left, Minho cradling Felix tightly, their mate safe in their arms.

The ride back to the pack house was deadly silent. Felix, cradled safely in Minho's lap, had passed out the second they left Mr. Lee's office — exhaustion and fear pulling him under. Minho held him carefully, rubbing soothing circles into his back without even thinking about it.
