"He's small, sticky, and psychic—and he's theirs."

Rain poured hard against the shattered windows of the underground facility, the flicker of broken fluorescent lights casting shadows across the scorched hallway.

"Keep moving," Chan ordered, voice low but firm. He swept around the corner with a pistol in one hand, his other glowing faintly with blue light. "We're almost at the end of the main corridor. The data center should be past this next room."

Minho flanked him, silent, eyes sharp. "This place smells like death. Whatever they were doing here, it wasn't legal."

"I'll say," Jisung muttered, wiping blood from a scratch on his temple. "Who builds a lab under an abandoned amusement park?"

"Crazy people," Changbin grunted, yanking a dented metal door open with brute strength. "Government-funded crazy people."

As the team filed into the final chamber, the air shifted—thick with dread, tingling with energy. Wires snaked across the floor like vines, many burned and sparking. And at the center of the chaos: a glass containment pod.

"What the hell is that?" Seungmin stepped closer, light from his palm illuminating the cracked glass. Inside, curled in a ball, was a tiny child. Pale blonde hair, small trembling limbs, dried tears streaking his dirty cheeks.

"A kid?" Jeongin whispered, stunned. "What is a kid doing here?"

Chan's jaw tightened. "Check for vitals."

Hyunjin was already moving, his healing aura flickering green as he pressed a hand to the reinforced glass. "He's alive. Scared out of his mind, but breathing. I think... I think he's suppressing something."

Minho tapped a screen nearby. "There's a neural dampener active. Someone didn't want him using his powers."

"Can we get him out?" Jisung asked, stepping closer. The lights above flickered violently as they approached.

"Hyung..." Jeongin said softly, pointing up. "I don't think the kid likes us getting too close."

Inside the pod, the little boy lifted his head slowly, blinking up at them with wide golden eyes. His lip wobbled. He looked no older than three.

"Hi..." Hyunjin crouched, lowering his voice. "Hey there, little one. We're not gonna hurt you. Promise."

"Wan' out," the child whispered, voice raspy and hoarse. "Scawy... hurt me..."

Chan's heart cracked.

Jisung tried next, voice light and cheerful. "Hey, buddy. You got a name?"

The child sniffled. "Feh... F-Feewix..."

"Felix," Minho said softly, testing the name on his tongue.

"Hi, Felix," Hyunjin smiled gently. "We're gonna get you out, okay?"

Felix reached out a tiny hand toward the glass, trembling. "No mowe pokeys?"

"No more pokeys," Changbin promised, stepping forward. "I'll break the glass."

"No!" Seungmin barked. "Too much force could scare him—or worse, trigger a reaction."

"Wait," Jeongin said, fiddling with the control panel. "I think I can override the lock..."

A sharp beep filled the room, then a hiss. The glass slowly split open.

Felix recoiled at first, eyes wide, fingers clutching the edge of his tattered shirt.

"Hey, hey," Jisung soothed. "You're okay. We're right here."

The little boy blinked at him, then at Chan, who had crouched low, arms open.
