"Part vampire. All toddler. Totally unstoppable."

"Two bodies," Chan muttered as he crouched beside the blood-soaked ground. "One male, one female. Adults. Dead for hours."

"And this," Minho said darkly, stepping beside him, "is a toddler. Still breathing."

"A miracle," Hyunjin whispered, kneeling slowly beside the small, still figure.

The boy was pale, tiny, limbs limp and sticky with drying blood. A harsh bite mark on his neck pulsed faintly. His chest barely rose.

"He was bitten," Seungmin confirmed, voice tense. "Almost completely drained."

Changbin's eyes flashed green. "Rogues."

"Of course it was rogues," Jisung growled. "No one from a registered nest would be this careless."

"This isn't careless," Jeongin said grimly. "This is cruel."

The seven vampires stood in silence, the gravity of the scene weighing down their usually sharp senses. The alley reeked of blood, death, and cold fear. Two dead humans, drained dry. But it was the toddler that rooted them in place.

"Why the hell would they attack a kid?" Jisung asked, voice cracking slightly.

"They didn't mean to leave him alive," Minho said. "They were interrupted."

Chan stood up slowly, wiping his bloodied fingers on a handkerchief. "Then they're nearby."

Seungmin gently brushed damp strands of light brown hair off the boy's forehead. "He's got minutes. Maybe. He's going into shock."

"Can you heal him?" Chan asked.

"With vampire blood, yes. Quickly," Seungmin answered. "But if I don't, and we try human medicine... he won't make it."

"So he'd survive if you give him blood?"

Seungmin hesitated. "It'll change him. Slowly. Not fully vampire, not fully human. He'll be something in between. Stronger. More resistant. But he'll never be normal again."

"Do it," Minho said immediately.

"Wait," Hyunjin interrupted. "We're talking about a human child. Giving him our blood—he didn't consent—"

"He's dying," Seungmin snapped.

"Then save him," Chan said firmly. "If it changes him, so be it. At least he'll be alive."

Seungmin didn't waste time. He drew his own blood from a self-inflicted cut on his wrist and pressed it gently to the toddler's lips.

"Swallow, little one," he murmured. "Come on..."

The child stirred faintly. A weak noise escaped his lips.

"There we go," Seungmin whispered. "Come on, baby, you have to drink."

A tiny tongue darted out, reflexively, and the blood was taken in.

Hyunjin knelt beside them, watching as the child's trembling stopped. "It's working."

Minho stood, looking out into the street. "We'll track the ones that did this. I'll rip their fangs out one by one."

Chan placed a hand on Minho's shoulder. "We all will. But first, we get this kid home."

The drive back to the estate was quiet, aside from the quiet breathing of the boy in Seungmin's arms. His heartbeat had steadied. His skin looked a little less deathly.

"What's his name?" Jeongin asked, from the front seat.

Seungmin looked down. "We don't know."

"There was a bag," Hyunjin said. "I grabbed it before we left. Little backpack thing. Might have something inside."
