"Lost in the darkness, he never expected to be found—let alone loved."
The night air was crisp but pleasant, a rare moment of peace after a grueling day of practice. The members of Stray Kids walked along the quiet streets, enjoying the cool breeze. Chan stretched his arms behind his head, sighing contentedly.
"It's nice to just walk for once," he mused.
"Yeah, I think my legs forgot what fresh air feels like," Jisung joked, nudging Seungmin, who snorted.
Hyunjin twirled playfully, his arms outstretched. "We should do this more often! It's way better than being cooped up in a van."
Just as Jeongin was about to respond, a faint noise caught their attention. A soft, pained groan, followed by uneven breathing.
"Did you hear that?" Changbin asked, pausing mid-step.
"Yeah," Minho said, his sharp gaze scanning the area. "It came from over there." He pointed towards a dimly lit alleyway.
"Maybe it's just a stray cat," Seungmin offered, though his voice held uncertainty.
"Or maybe someone needs help," Chan countered, already making his way toward the source of the sound.
The others followed without hesitation. As they stepped into the alley, their eyes adjusted to the darkness—and then they saw him.
A young man lay crumpled against the brick wall, his body barely moving. His face was swollen, smeared with dirt and dried blood. His clothes were torn, and his hands trembled slightly where they rested on his lap. The sight made Minho's stomach turn.
"Shit," Changbin muttered.
Without thinking, Minho stepped forward, crouching beside the stranger. "Hey," he said gently, reaching out. "Can you hear me?"
The young man flinched at the touch, eyes fluttering open in panic. He tried to shift away but barely had the strength.
"You're okay," Minho reassured him, his voice softer now. "We're not here to hurt you."
Chan pulled out his phone. "I'm calling our manager. He needs a hospital."
The young man's lips parted, but no words came out. His eyes darted between them, filled with something between fear and disbelief.
Minho's heart clenched. Whoever he was, whatever had happened to him—it was bad.
"Can you tell us your name?" Jeongin asked gently.
The young man hesitated before rasping, "Felix."
Minho didn't know why, but hearing that name sent a surge of protectiveness through him.
"You're safe now, Felix," he murmured. "I promise."
The group stood in tense silence as they waited for their manager to arrive. Felix's breathing was shallow, his body trembling despite Minho carefully supporting him.
"Hang in there, Felix," Minho said, his voice steady but gentle. "Help is coming."
Felix's eyes fluttered open again, barely able to focus. "Why...?" His voice was hoarse, weak. "Why are you... helping me?"
Hyunjin crouched down beside him, his expression soft. "Because you need it."
Felix blinked, his face a mixture of confusion and wariness.
"Someone did this to you," Minho added, his jaw tightening. "And that's not okay."
Before Felix could respond, headlights flooded the alley. Their manager's car screeched to a stop, and the door swung open.
