"He changed their lives with a giggle, a cuddle, and a pair of baby fangs."

"Jeongin, do you smell that?" Seungmin stopped mid-step, nose twitching as he stared into the shadows of the broken-down cottage.

"Smoke. Old. And... blood," Jeongin said, his voice quiet but steady. "Human?"

Seungmin shook his head. "No. Vampire."

Both vampires moved cautiously into the ruined cottage, their eyes glowing faintly in the dark. The structure was barely standing—half the roof had caved in, and the wooden beams still bore the charred remains of fire. Ash coated everything like snowfall, but beneath the wreckage, something shifted.

"Wait," Jeongin said, holding an arm out. "I heard something."

There was a soft sniffle. Then a hiccup.

They turned toward a blackened corner of the room. A bundle of grey ash twitched. Slowly, Seungmin stepped forward and knelt, brushing aside the soot with gentle fingers.

A child. No older than two. Covered in ash, tiny face streaked with tears and soot, and clutching a singed stuffed bunny so tightly the fabric had torn. His eyes blinked up at them—glowing faintly red.

"Seungmin..." Jeongin breathed. "He's... one of us."

"But he hasn't been turned," Seungmin whispered. "No marks. No scarring. That scent... he was born this way."

Jeongin looked stunned. "That's impossible. Born vampires don't exist anymore. Not in five centuries."

The toddler whimpered, shrinking back against the ruined wall.

Seungmin's voice softened. "Hey, little one. It's okay. You're safe now."

The child blinked up at them. "Bunny... got owie," he mumbled in a wobbly, high-pitched voice, holding the bunny up with trembling hands.

Seungmin gently reached forward. "Can I see your bunny?"

"No!" the boy cried, wrapping his arms around it. "Mine! Bunny hurt! Bad man did it!"

Jeongin crouched down beside Seungmin, his heart twisting. "Hey, it's alright. We're not bad men. We're here to help. What's your name?"

"Fehwix," the toddler sniffled, sucking on his thumb for a second before wiping his nose with a sleeve. "Fehwix don't like fire. It burn house. It burn Mama. It burn Bunny..."

Seungmin and Jeongin exchanged a glance. Their expressions were grave.

"Felix," Seungmin said gently, brushing the boy's hair from his face. "You're going to come with us now, okay? Somewhere safe. With family."

Felix looked unsure. "You fam'wy?"

"Not yet," Jeongin said, smiling softly. "But maybe soon."

Back at the mansion, the clan gathered in the great hall. Chan stood at the center, arms crossed, gaze dark and intense as he stared down at the small child clinging to Seungmin's leg. Minho stood off to the side, silent but watchful, while Changbin sat on the steps with Hyunjin, both of them frowning.

"He was born a vampire?" Minho asked, voice low.

"Yes," Seungmin confirmed. "No turning. No bite marks. His scent is pure. I've only read about it in ancient records."

"He said the fire took his family," Jeongin added. "Rogues, most likely. Their coven was hiding out deep in the woods, away from others. Probably trying to protect him."

Chan's eyes didn't leave the toddler. "And now the rogues are trying to finish what they started."

Felix peeked out from behind Seungmin's leg and pointed at Hyunjin. "He got shiny hair."
