Taylor rolled over and found an empty bed. Karlie's spot was cold, indicating that she hadn't been there for a while. The singer looked at her alarm clock and saw it was 4am. She got up and looked on the terrace, off of their bedroom, to see if maybe she was there, but she wasn't. Taylor went downstairs, thinking that maybe Karlie was in the kitchen, making something to eat, which isn't out of the ordinary, but she wasn't. Heading over to the garage to see if the car was still here, she found that it was. She started to get a little worried. It was too cold outside for Karlie to have gone for a run and even if she did, it was still really dark.

Taylor began to go room to room on the first floor, but didn't find her wife. She went back up to their master suite and sat on the the edge of the bed, worried about where she could be at this time of morning. The one place she didn't check was the second floor. She went downstairs and opened the first door but didn't see her. She then walked over to Mikayla's room and noticed the door cracked open with a little light shining through. As she pushed the door open slowly, she saw her sunshine curled up on the couch with music from the mobile, that was positioned over the crib, playing.

Taylor stood there for a moment, smiling while looking at how adorable her wife was. She walked over to her and placed her hand on her shoulder, careful not to startle her. The model winced under her touch and began to open her eyes.

"Hey you." Taylor said with a smile beaming across her face.

Karlie rubbed her eyes and extended her arms for her princess to lay down with her.

"Hi baby." Karlie replied.

"What we're you doing down here?"

"I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk and ended up here. Very soon, we'll be spending a lot of time in here watching our little girl sleep. I can't wait for that moment to happen."

Taylor couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. Her wife was already so in love with their little bundle that she hasn't even met yet. She snuggled close to Karlie as the model covered them both up with a blanket.

"I'm so happy Karlie. I can't wait to get up early in the morning for bottle feedings and diaper changes. She's going to change our life completely, bringing so much more joy to it."

"I hope she's everything like you, Taylor."

Karlie remembered her wife saying the other day how she hoped the baby was nothing like her. She wanted to reassure her that she would love their child to be everything like her.

"You are such an amazing person Taylor. You have the best qualities a person could have and our little bean would be lucky to have just half of those qualities."

Taylor giggled against Karlie's chest as she looked up at her and said, "Are you sure about that? I'm overly sensitive and cry all the time. Are you sure you want our daughter just like me? An emotional mess?"

"Tay, there's nothing wrong with crying. I cry too. We're passionate people and we love hard. I am sure that I want her to be just like the woman I fell in love with. You have so much to offer her with your patience and kindness. You're like the perfect teacher and I can't wait to be by your side, raising her with you. She's going to be an amazing little girl."

"Well, I hope she's everything like you, Kar. You have this unbreakable strength about you. You're the best shoulder to cry on and you know exactly how to build someone up and make them feel like the most special person in the world. You sometimes try and act tough, but you're a real pussycat on the inside...and on the outside by the looks of your onesie you still have on."

Taylor began to laugh, earning a chuckle from Karlie as well.

"But seriously, you love with every ounce of your being and you're so passionate. I want our daughter to have those qualities. I want her to not be afraid to take chances in life and to just be herself."
