The girls and Scott were back in New York for a few weeks now. They were more on their toes now that they had a little one running around the house. Those shaky baby steps at first was only the beginning. Once Mikayla found her balance, there was no stopping her. The cats have proven to be no match for the overly excited little girl who finds it amusing to pounce on them when they least expect it or yank on their tails while they are asleep in their cat beds.

Her vocabulary has also grown almost overnight. She hasn't quite mastered 'mommy' but when she wants to get Taylor's attention, she'll say 'MaaaaaaaMe.' Although slightly exaggerated, it still brings a huge smile to Taylor's face each time she hears it. However, one of Mikayla's favorite words is 'No.' Maybe because it's so easy to say or maybe because the facial expressions Taylor and Karlie make when they hear it, make it that much more amusing to the little one. Either way, it has definitely been proven to be a favorite of hers.

Taylor spends her days with the baby, playing with toys that will enhance her hand and eye coordination. She picks a word of the day and uses it all day long, for Mikayla to eventually be able to pick it up and understand what it means. Lily had bought the baby a tiny piano, that now sits alongside Taylor's large piano in the music room. Karlie finds the most joy standing in the doorway, watching the two of them side by side, as Mikayla is banging on her keys and then looking up at Taylor laughing. Almost as if to say, 'Look mommy, I did it.'

Taylor typically has the baby sit on her lap as she presses the keys and tells Mikayla to listen to the sounds. The baby spends hours with her mother in that room and Karlie is convinced she'll be playing multiple instruments in no time.

Tom is a new addition to their security team. He is the friend of Sean and has also been assigned to Mikayla and Taylor. Both men are now armed at all times, which makes Taylor nervous but there's no negotiating that with Karlie.

Another apartment has opened up in their building, which they immediately purchased for Scott. The girls now own three out of the four units. Taylor has been urging Karlie to make an offer to the remaining tenant so they can just own the entire building, but Karlie is reluctant because of the cost. Having Scott so close is perfect. He has four bedrooms, which he already assigned one as Austin's, when he comes to visit. Another room has been dedicated to Mikayla, so she has a place to sleep comfortably when Karlie and Taylor have a date night.

"OUCH!" Karlie yelled from the hallway as she was entering her bedroom.

"Babe, what's the matter?"

"I see our daughter still hasn't mastered picking up her building blocks and putting them away yet."

"Aww, Kar. She's just a baby."

Karlie got on the bed and laid on top of her wife, placing little kisses on her lips. "I know she is. She's our little perfect baby who is becoming more and more like you everyday. Tomorrow we have a professional baby safety specialist coming to check our apartment and your dads apartment to make sure that it's baby safe. She's all over the place now."

Taylor smiled as she cupped her wife's face and leaned in for a kiss. "I love you. You think of absolutely everything for us. How did I get so lucky to find you?"

"Hmmm, I don't know but I'm glad you did." Karlie replied as she began to kiss her wife's neck. Taylor leaned her head back as she ran her fingers through Karlie's hair. Soft moans escaped her lips as the model explored her wife's body with her hands.
