Karlie woke up in the middle of the night to an empty bed. Her wife's side was still warm, so she assumed she probably got up and was tending to the baby. She rolled back over and went to sleep. Five hours later she woke up and found Taylor's side to now be ice cold. She went downstairs and could smell coffee brewing. As she entered the kitchen she saw Scott sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper.

"Good morning Karlie. Did you sleep well?"

"Hey Scott. Yeah, I slept ok. Is Taylor down here?"

"No. I haven't seen her yet. I thought she was sleeping."

"That's weird. I woke up around 3am and she wasn't there. I just thought she was with Mikayla but now it's 8 and she still isn't there. I bet she fell asleep in the baby's room. I'll go check on her."

Karlie went back upstairs and found the baby sound asleep with no Taylor in sight. She checked the office and music room, but still nothing. She went out on the terrace off of their bedroom to see if her wife was on the swing, but she wasn't. When she called Jim and Sean to see if they knew where she was but neither of them did. She decided to get dressed and go looking for her.

"Scott, she's no where in the house and neither Jim or Sean have seen her. She left her cell phone on the night stand. I'm gonna go check the garage to see if the both cars are still here."

She found both of their cars parked but noticed Taylor's ATV was gone. She let Scott know that she was gonna go for a ride on the property to try and find her and asked that he keep an eye on Mikayla. Karlie hopped on her ATV and began driving through the woods. It didn't take long to find Taylor. Her ATV was parked in front of the treehouse. She remembered the conversation a few days ago when she told her wife to go down there and talk to her mom whenever she needed to. She figured that was probably what she was doing, but wanted to check on her first anyway before heading back to the house. When she climbed the stairs and peeked through the window, she didn't see Taylor. She slowly opened the door and went inside. The model was happy to see Taylor's jacket laid on the bench and knew she was probably up in the loft. When she climbed up top, she found her wife curled up in a ball, hugging her giraffe. There were a box of tissues on the side of her and she had dried tear marks down her cheek. The treehouse was a little cold and Taylor wasn't under the covers, so Karlie went back down the stairs and grabbed an extra comforter. She climbed back up, getting on the bed and placed the comforter over the two of them. She wrapped her arms around her wife's cold body, and pulled her close, kissing her forehead in the process. Taylor began to stir and slowly opened her eyes, looking up at Karlie as she smiled.

"Hi Kar."

"Hi baby. I was worried about you. I didn't know where you were. Have you been down here long?"

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake you so I came down here around 2am. I needed to get away and just clear my head. I must have fallen asleep."

"I can leave babe if you need more time to yourself." Karlie said.

"No. Don't leave. I'm glad you're here."

They laid facing one another. The model grabbed her wife's ice cold hands and held them between hers, rubbing them and blowing her warm breath on them to heat them up. She placed little kisses on the back of each one as her wife watched her intensely.

"You're so cold, babe." Karlie said as she pulled Taylor as close to her body as she could. She draped one of her legs over both of Taylor's and began to rub the singers back, trying her best to warm her up.

"That feels good, Kar. I'm starting to warm up."

"Maybe this will help." Karlie replied as she tilted her wife's head back and kissed her lips.
