"Divorce papers?" Selena asked with a shocked expression. "Tay, you can't mean that. I mean, I kno-.."

Before Selena could finish, Taylor interrupted and stated, "But I do mean it, I do. Don't think for one minute that I haven't thought about this over and over again." As Taylor continued, the tears began to fall. "I've stayed up countless nights thinking about this and before you say, 'it was just a kiss,' I realize that. This isn't about the kiss. It's about so much more than that. I trusted her with everything and without a care in the world, she sat there and made me out to be fucking crazy. Like it was all in my head. I look at her everyday when she picks up the baby and I just wonder who this person is. The same woman who has promised me for years that she would always be there and protect me. She was there through so many difficult times and I just can't understand how she could be so hurtful and cruel."

"Tay, I understand that and I don't have the answer for why she did what she did but maybe counseling will help. I mean, you have a baby together. You love Karlie, I know you do."

"Of course I love her Selena. I never doubted or questioned my love for her. What if Paige didn't slap her? What if she kissed her back or even worse, what if she took Karlie back to her home? Would my wife had stopped? Would it have really stopped at a kiss? I'll never know. I can't trust her and I don't trust her. I've worked through so many personal issues and insecurities and I feel like this has set me back and I can't let that happen."

"When are you gonna give her the papers?"

"Tomorrow night. I'm gonna invite her to dinner, so we're in a public place. That was my lawyers suggestion, to do it around people so that it lessens the chance of an outburst."

"Taylor, don't do that to her. Not in public. Show her some decency. You know Karlie would never hurt you, like hit you or anything."

"I know she wouldn't Sel. I just don't want to have a meltdown and if I'm in public, it'll be easier for me to hold it in."

As the girls were talking the doorbell rang. Taylor looked at the time and saw it was 2:20pm. She stood up and took a deep breath knowing Karlie was on the other side of the door. Her heart began to race as she walked over. Mikayla came running and was by her feet when the door swung open.

"Hi mama hi."

"Hi bean. Come here and give me a big hug and kiss." Karlie picked her daughter up and held her tight as Taylor stood there but looked away.

"I'm sorry she's not ready to go. I was talking to Selena." Taylor said with a cold tone.

"It's fine. I could go get her ready if you want." Karlie replied.

"That won't be necessary. Her jacket is on the couch. I'll go grab her bag upstairs."

Karlie walked in and went to the living room. She took a moment to watch her wife walk up the stairs and disappear around the corner. As she put Mikayla's jacket on, the little one opened her mouth to show her mama a new tooth.

"Look at you and all your teeth. You're my little shark."

The little one ran to the stairs as she heard Taylor come down. She extended her arm as Taylor handed her a teddy bear. The baby ran back to Karlie to show her.

"I love your teddy bear. Can I hold it?"

Mikayla handed it over as Karlie squeezed it tight and gave it a bunch of kisses. Her daughter laughed and grabbed it back. She hugged it tight and gave it kisses and then handed it to Taylor.

"Mommy do it."

Taylor took the bear and hugged it. As she gave it back to the baby, the little one said, "Kiss too."
