The girls arrived in Rhode Island four days before the wedding. The weather was going to be perfect for the next ten days, which was a relief.  Taylor and Karlie were especially excited to be at this house for the Fourth of July which was tomorrow. It was the first time that they were at this house with Mikayla for the 4th and they were pumped to see her reaction.

Karlie laid on a hammock on the back porch with Mikayla resting on her chest. The two of them had fallen asleep in the shade as the ocean breeze provided enough comfort for both of them on the hot summer day.

Taylor walked outside and snapped a picture before she bent down and gave them each a kiss. Karlie opened her eyes first and smiled at the bright blue eyes looking back at her.

"Hey babe, did you have a nice nap?"

"Mmhm, but I wasn't done with it." She said with a chuckle.

"I'm sorry but I'm taking Mikayla with me and I didn't just want to take her without telling you."

Mikayla began to rub her eyes as she lifted her head and looked at Karlie.

"Hi bean."

"Hi mama."

She plopped her head back down on Karlie's chest as Taylor began to rub her back.

"Hey my sleepyhead, are you gonna wake up and come with mommy?"

The little one looked at Taylor and then turned her head to the other side as Karlie started to laugh.

"Mikayla, you don't want to come with me?"

"Nooo mommy. Me seeping."

"Well, ooook. I just thought that you would want to go on a date with just mommy. I thought we'd get our nails done and have some ice cream. But if you want to stay here and have a lazy day with mama, then, that's fine. Maybe Maddie will want to come with me."

Mikayla popped her head up as she said, "Maddie no come mommy. She baby. I go."

"Noooooo." Karlie said dramatically as she hugged her daughter tight. "Please stay with meeee. I'm gonna miss you sooooo much."

"Me come back mama, ok? Me wuv you. I give you kiss."

"Ooook. Have fun with mommy."

Mikayla climbed down as Taylor bent down and kissed her wife again. "I love you baby. We'll be back in a little bit."

"Ok. Have fun. I love you too."

Karlie went inside to take care of Noah and hang out with Kimby and Maddie. Scott and Austin had taken off earlier to enjoy a day of golf so the girls just hung out talking about the little Fourth of July get together they'd be having the following day.

"So, Kar, who's coming for the BBQ tomorrow?"

"Well mom, Kariann, Kristine and their boyfriends are flying in tonight. Lily, Dixie, Cara and Behati are driving in from the city tomorrow morning. Selena is off for a few days from her tour so she'll be arriving tomorrow as well. Austin invited Ed, so I'm assuming he's coming tomorrow too. I think he's bringing a few friends. Those are the only people I know about."

"Are they all staying here?"

"HELL NO." Karlie said as she started to laugh. "Only mom and Lily are staying with us. Lily actually didn't even want to stay because she felt like she was imposing but Mikayla wanted Dixie to sleep over and we all love Lily, so I wouldn't have let her stay at a hotel anyway. Everyone else is fending for themselves."
