Two weeks have passed since Cara came to visit and Karlie started commuting back and forth to NY from St. Louis everyday. It definitely wasn't easy on the model but she was determined to make it work and with the her wife's support, it wasn't all that bad.

Thanksgiving was only one day away and the girls had decided that they would sponsor another holiday meal for the homeless in Andrea's honor, but this time they weren't going to be present for it. Knowing that she was expecting another baby, Taylor was struggling with the loss of her mom that much more. Their family understood that and even though they were slightly disappointed not to be spending the holiday with the girls, they were supportive nonetheless.

Although she saw Karlie everyday, Taylor missed her desperately while she was at work. She was sitting in the living room while Mikayla was taking a nap and decided to call her wife.

"Hi babe."

"I miss you Kar."

"I miss you too but I'll be home soon. Only a few more hours to go and then I'm all yours for the next four days. Any idea what you would like to do?"

"I don't know Kar. I just want to snuggle with my two favorite girls."

"Well, I can certainly arrange that."

"Haha, alright Kar. I'll let you go. I'll see you soon."

"Tay, are you ok?"

"I'm just a little sad that's all. I'm about to go wake the baby just to have someone to talk to."

"Well, listen. I'll be home really soon and tonight we're going to pop in a movie and curl up on our chair and snuggle all night long. I love you baby. I'll be there before you know it."

"Ok. I love you too. Bye."

Karlie looked at the phone as she hung up. She knew her wife's mind was probably all over the place and decided to make a couple of phone calls and leave early. Infact, because it was the day before Thanksgiving and they had no more meetings for the day, she decided to let everyone go home early.

Karlie left her office and stood in the middle of the room, filled with staff buzzing around, working hard.

"Hey guys, can I have everyone's attention?"

Everyone stopped what they were doing to listen to their boss.

"It's 1pm and even though we have a lot of stuff to do, we can always finish up on Monday. So, with that being said, I want everyone to pack up their stuff and go home for the remainder of the day. Enjoy your family, eat lots of turkey and have a great Thanksgiving. I'll see you all next week."

All of her employees began to cheer and clap as they thanked her and got ready to take off.

Lily walked over to her friend and looked on as everyone was taking off.

"Well, that was extremely generous of you Kar. Now, what's going on?"

"Hahaha, I love you Lily. It's Taylor. She's having a difficult time with it being Thanksgiving without Andrea and I want to get home to her."

"You're a keeper Kar. You would truly to anything for her."

"She's my life Lil. I love her."

"I know she is and you're her life too. Go and get out of here. I'll see you on Monday."

The girls hugged goodbye before Karlie headed straight to the airport.

A couple of hours later, Karlie was walking through the door as her wife's jaw dropped.
