Karlie didn't get much sleep all night. There was a lot of tossing and turning on her end and she decided to just sleep in Mikayla's room, so she didn't bother Taylor. She was startled awake by Zeus licking her face.

"Jesus Zeus, how did you get out?"

"MAMA UP MAMA UP."

Karlie turned over to see her daughter all smiles, reaching her arm through the bars of her crib as Zeus licked her hand. She took her out of her crib and let her run around with the dog before taking them both downstairs.

"Come on bean, let's eat breakfast."

"No mama."

"If you don't get over here, mama is gonna get you and tickle you."

Karlie pretended like she was going to chase the little one as Mikayla began to giggle and started running towards the living room. She laughed as Karlie chased her and eventually threw herself on the floor as if that would make her mother stop. The model got on the floor and grabbed her, hugging her tight as Mikayla squirmed.

"No mama."

What Karlie didn't expect was Zeus beginning to growl at her, as if she was hurting the baby. The trainer did say that this could happen and it was a sign of protection.

"Good dog Zeus, you protect her."

He began to wag his tail as Karlie pet him, letting him know that it was ok. She then let Maverick out who was whimpering behind the gate, and walking in circles in anticipation of joining in on the fun.

She tried another attempt at breakfast and made pancakes and bacon. The aroma filled the house and soon Taylor came walking downstairs.

"Good morning." The singer said as she made herself a cup of coffee.

"Good morning. How did you sleep?"

"Fine. Hiiiiii, mommy's girl. Are you eating pancakes?"

Taylor sat next to her daughter as the little one took a drink from her sippy cup.

"Up mommy."

"I think you mean down. Come on, you can go play with puppies."

Mikayla started running around chasing the dogs as Taylor continued to sit at the table.

"So, why are you home? No meetings today?"

"Nothing major, so I rescheduled them for Monday. I thought it would be nice to take Friday off and have a long weekend."

"Hmm, so does that mean you're flying to Vegas today instead of tomorrow morning?"

"I'm not going." Karlie replied.

"Don't stay here because of me. Selena is planning on being in town all weekend, so it's not like I'll be alone."

"That's fine. I'll just hang out with bean. Taylor, I don't know what else I can do to let you know how sorry I am. I feel like shit and I hate this. You won't even look at me. Baby, I'm sorry. Please accept my apology."

"Ya know what Kar, I do accept your apology and for no other reason other than I love you. But some of the stuff you said to me still resonates inside right now. Maybe we can use a break away from each other. I'm not saying one of us needs to leave the house and live somewhere else, but with Selena here this weekend, maybe I'll just spend more time with her. Mikayla is feeling better, so I don't feel as guilty leaving her with my dad. Go to Vegas, if you want. I'm not gonna get angry if you go. Maybe you need more of a break from me than you think."
