"Hey babe, I'm back."

"What is that Kar?"

"It's a nitrogen container that keeps the sperm frozen. It will stay frozen for 7 days but once I take out the vial, it'll defrost in 10 minutes and then it has to be deposited in you within 2 hours."

Taylor grabbed her wife's hand and started pulling her up the stairs. "Come on, let's go do it now. Mikayla's sleeping."

"No Tay." Karlie replied as she began to laugh.

"No? Why not?" Are you having second thoughts?"

Karlie stepped up on the stairs, so she and Taylor were eye to eye. "Babe, I'm not having second thoughts but can we make it a little romantic? I'd like to at least have a date night with you before I just, you know....stick this syringe in you."

"Awww, you're right. But who can we get to babysit for an overnight?"

"That's a problem because none of our family is out here."

"What about Selena, Kar?"

Karlie had an uneasy look on her face as she began to make a groaning sound. "Tayyyyy, she doesn't really know Mikayla. She's only been around her like twice. I don't really feel comfortable with that."

"Well, how about Jamie?"

"Ughhhh, Tayyyyy, she's even worse. Mikayla really doesn't know her either. She's a complete stranger to our daughter."

"Well, how about Sean, Kar?"

"Mmmmm, where is he gonna watch her for an overnight? She's not staying with him in a hotel. I don't like that idea either."

"Jesus Karlie, at this rate, we're never gonna be able to do this."

Karlie wrapped her arms around her wife as she said, "I'm sorry baby but this is our daughter we're talking about. I don't want to leave her with strangers. If Selena and Jamie were around her like Lily, I wouldn't have an issue, but she doesn't know them. They don't know how we are with her. What if she acts up and they hit her or yell at her? You know I'd fucking kill them."

"Selena wouldn't do that and I highly doubt Jamie would either."

Taylor had a pretty cold tone in her voice. Almost as if she took offense that her friends couldn't be trusted. Karlie picked up on the attitude and gave it right back.

"Well, I'm sorry Tay, but they're not watching her."

Taylor removed her wife's arms from around her waist as she replied, "She's my daughter too, ya know. I wouldn't leave her with someone I didn't trust."

"I am fully aware that she's your daughter too but unless we both agree, she's not going anywhere."

Taylor turned around and stormed up the stairs. "THERE'S NO REASONING WITH YOU. YOU'RE SO FUCKING HARD HEADED KARLIE."

"GET OVER IT TAYLOR, SHE'S NOT GOING WITH THEM AND THAT'S FINAL."

Karlie stormed to the living room and sat on the couch for a few minutes before she hopped up and went upstairs. As she walked into their bedroom, she saw Taylor sitting on the edge of the bed just staring at the floor.

Karlie's whole demeanor changed almost instantly.
She knelt by her wife as she placed her hands on Taylor's knees.

"Baby, I don't want to fight with you. I'm sorry for yelling at you but it's just that, I don't want to leave her with just anyone. I know they're your friends and you trust them, but I don't. She's all we have Taylor and I'm just not comfortable with them watching her. We'll be here for a few weeks, if you want to invite them over everyday and get Mikayla used to them, then that's fine. Then if we need them to babysit in the future, I may feel differently, but not now. Please don't hate me."
