"Babe, come with me to take the baby for a walk outside. It's beautiful out."
"Stop asking me to do stuff Karlie. I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. Besides, it's too cold for Mikayla."
"Taylor, she's fine. I have her dressed warm, plus she'll be in her new stroller. Alright, we'll be back. Will you at least come and take a ride on the train later? I've known how to operate it now for three days and you haven't been down once."
"Ughhhh, I'm going upstairs." Taylor replied as her wife just stood there watching her.
The last few days have really sucked for Karlie. Taylor has been in a real bitchy mood since they got to St. Louis. Nothing Karlie does seems to be putting her into a better mood. The model has bent over backwards for her wife but Taylor wants no part of anyone, not even her friends that have been calling her to check in.
Karlie took the baby for a walk around their property. She fell asleep almost as soon as they left the house. The bumpy grounds must have been soothing for the little girl. After an hour, Karlie returned home and placed the baby in her crib. She took a hot shower and then got on the bed, next to her sleeping wife. Karlie was determined to start her own agency and had contacted her real estate agent in NY, since this was where her and Taylor decided to open it.
She went through a number of emails her agent had sent her of different properties, notating the ones that she was most interested in. After an hour of doing this, she decided to go make something to eat. She wanted to bake a cake but realized she didn't have a few ingredients. The model ran back up the stairs to throw on some clothes. Before she left, she nudged her wife to let her know she was going to the store and that Mikayla was sleeping in her room.
The model returned home an hour later with everything she needed.
"Where were you?" Taylor asked as she entered the kitchen.
"I went to the store to get ingredients to bake a cake. You said, 'uh huh,' when I told you before I left."
"Why did it take so long?"
"I don't know. It was busy and the lines were long. Taylor, what are you getting at?"
"I'm not getting at anything. Just asking a question." Taylor replied as she walked away.
"Tay, come here."
"I'll be upstairs."
Karlie went running after her wife. The singer was already halfway up the stairs as Karlie grabbed her, spun her around and picked her up, throwing her over her shoulder as they went back down the stairs.
"Put me down Karlie."
"Nope. You're gonna talk to me whether you want to or not."
Karlie brought her to the oversized chair they typically share in the living room. She placed Taylor down and then sat on her lap sideways, draping her long legs over the arm of the chair.
"Ok, talk." The model said.
"Talk about what?"
"Talk about why you want to stay away from me. Why you don't kiss me at night before you go to bed. Why you don't want to spend time with me. Why you hardly talk to me. Am I THAT annoying? Because I didn't think I was, but maybe I am. I understand you're grieving and I don't expect you to just stop anytime soon. It's a process and I get that. I know your mom was your whole world. I know how much you miss her and I know there's nothing I can do to take your pain away. But all I've asked of you is to not push me away. If you need space, I'll give it to you. I'll sleep in the baby's room. If you want to go away with your dad or Austin, I'll stay here. Take a road trip with Selena. Jim and Sean should be arriving in a few days with the RV. Invite Selena here and take off wherever you want. I'll support whatever you want to do, just don't push me away. Please."
