A few weeks has past since Karlie confronted Taylor about going on tour with Selena. The girls were back in NY and tension was ever so present. Aside from their own issues, there is the constant banging and drilling and yelling between the construction workers who are remodeling the apartment. This was exactly why Taylor wanted to stay in LA but unfortunately, Karlie had to return to work.

"Jesus, can they be any louder? Hammers and drills, hammers and drills, hammers and drills. I'm ready to lose my fucking mind!!" Taylor said as she grabbed her head with both hands and began to walk in a circle.

"What did you expect exactly? They're knocking down walls and adding room. There's ALOT for them to do and they're all OUR requests. This wasn't going to be done in a week. It'll be a few months."

"Kar, I hope you're joking. I can't take this for MONTHS."

"I'm not quite sure what you want me to say. We hear them in the morning for about an hour and a half before going in to the office. And then we hear them for about two hours in the afternoon when we get home. The good thing is that at least you're not here all day long. You started working with your moms foundation, so there really shouldn't be much to complain about. If you join me at the gym in the afternoon, you won't hear them at all and once we get home, they're gone. I think you need to stop complaining. Are you going in the office today? Mikayla and I are all dressed and ready to go in twenty minutes and you're still walking around in pajamas."

"Well, I got a late start because someone no longer wakes me up in the morning. Infact, when are you gonna go back to treating me like normal? I've apologized hundreds of times for not telling you about Selena's tour and yet you're so different with me."

"Tay, I don't have time for this conversation. I need to get in the office. Are you coming or not?"

"Don't you think our marriage is worth discussing?" Taylor replied as she stood there with her arms crossed.

Karlie shook her head slowly, almost in disbelief. "When have I ever NOT thought our marriage was worth discussing? The only thing that has changed is that we are more like a regular married couple. Minimal communication, no sex and dumb arguments over nothing. I forgave you about the whole tour thing. I'm not angry at you for wanting to go, I'm sure you're gonna have a blast. I just wish you told me, that's all. Had you just been honest with me and not kept any secrets, we wouldn't of had an issue in LA. I'm going to get Mikayla. We'll meet you there, I have a meeting to get to."

Karlie left the room and moments later, Taylor heard the front door slam shut. She went into the bathroom to finish getting ready. She couldn't help but feel that when they do fight, she always seems to be the reason.

"Hey Kar, hey little girl. Where's Tay?"

Karlie rolled her eyes as she looked at Lily and said, "Who cares. Hopefully she'll stay home today."

"Ummm, Kar? What's going on?"

"We're fighting over dumb stuff and I'm tired of it. I swear, you have the most PERFECT marriage, Lily. You and your husband don't live in the same state. You guys see each other on the weekends, holidays and scheduled time off. No wonder you never fight. Maybe Taylor needs to move to fucking Alaska."

"Hahaha, I know you're not serious Karlie. You two love each other so much, you could never cope without her."

"I love my wife, I really do. It's just disappointing when you feel as though you've come so far as a couple, only to then take twenty steps back. It's frustrating and you're right, I couldn't cope without her. I'm nothing but open and honest with her but it's never enough. Never has been and it never will be. We always had this marriage that most people thought was not possible to have because we got we were inseparable and actually loved spending time together. Yeah well, now we have a marriage like everyone else."
