"Hey, you guys ready to go surfing?" Austin as Kimby, Kariann and Kristine.
"Hell, yeah. This is gonna be fun." Kristine said.
Kimby looked around but didn't see Karlie anywhere in sight.
                              "Is Kar coming?"
"No idea," Kariann replied. "I'll go check on her."
Kariann knocked on the door and opened it up when she heard Karlie tell her to come in.
"Hey, we're ready to go surfing, you coming?"
"No. I think I'm just gonna stay here today." The model replied.
"I think you should come. I don't know what's going on with you and Taylor, but I really want you to come with us."
"Thanks Kariann, but I just don't feel like it. I much rather stay here."
Kariann walked out of the bedroom, as Taylor walked into the living room.
The singer went to the kitchen area, which overlooked the living room and poured herself a bowl of cereal.
                              "Is Karlie coming?" Kimby asked.
"No. She's staying home all day. I tried to make her come but she refused."
Everyone got silent as they heard the bedroom door of  Tracy's room open. They anxiously awaited to see who was going to be coming out and were slightly disappointed when they saw it was only Tracy.
                              "Good morning everyone?"
"Good morning mom." The girls replied in unison.
                              "Good morning Tracy." Taylor said.
                              "Hi Taylor."
It was an awkward moment for the most part. It almost felt like the house was divided, even though it really wasn't.
Tracy made herself a cup of coffee and sat next to Taylor. The girls and Austin decided to leave, so that the two could talk.
                              "How are you feeling?"
"I'm good. She's pretty active, especially at night." Taylor said as she rubbed her stomach. "I actually enjoy being pregnant. I've read so many stories about some people saying being pregnant was the best experience and others that have said it was horrible. Luckily, I don't fall into the horrible category."
"Well, that's good. Almost all of my pregnancies were good, except for one feisty girl that couldn't sit still. Wanna guess which one that would be?"
Taylor just smiled as she kinda had an idea the feisty one was Karlie.
"Tracy, I don't want her to feel the need to stay in the room all day. I'm not trying to make Karlie uncomfortable. I'll give her space. She doesn't have to see me or anything."
"No. She's not the one who needs space, you do. She needs to grow up. I'm really disappointed in her actions. We stayed up most of the night talking and she needs to come to her senses. Ya know raising four girls wasn't easy, especially being close in age. But I'm gonna tell you the same thing that I told each of them when they were growing up. No one has the right to treat you any way they want. Even if you love them with every piece of your heart, you have to know your value. If they don't treat you right, you need to move on and find someone who does. Taylor, that applies to you too. My daughter doesn't have the right to treat you like shit whenever she feels like it. You don't deserve that and if that is the way she treats you, then shame on her. You deserve better than that and it pains me to say that because it's my own daughter I'm talking about."
Taylor smiled at Tracy as she leaned over and said, "Thank you."
A few minutes later, Karlie walked out of the bedroom.
"Hi." Karlie said quietly to Taylor as she walked by her.
                              "Hi, Kar." The singer replied.
Taylor got off the chair and placed her bowl in the sink as her wife said, "You don't have to leave. I'll be quick."
"I need to get dressed anyway. My parents should be back from breakfast soon."
Taylor turned around and began to walk away as Karlie watched her leave.
                              "What do I do, mom?"
"Karlie, I think you need to figure this one out by yourself." Tracy said as she walked back into the bedroom.
Karlie stood there, just looking at the closed bedroom door, knowing her wife was just on the other side. She walked over and gently knocked.
"Tay, can I talk to you."
                              "Come on in."
Taylor was in the closet, grabbing an outfit before getting in the shower.
"I....ummm....ummm.... I know you want space and I just wanted to tell you that I want you to take as much time as you need. I know I fucked up and I'm not really sure how to fix it."
Karlie fought back the tears as she continued.
"I know this is a real selfish thing to say but I just don't want you to give up on me."
Karlie turned around and walked to the door. She grabbed the door knob and hesitated slightly, since this is usually the time that Taylor calls her back. But not this time. The model looked to the floor as she opened the door and walked out.
Just please don't give up on me
Andrea and Scott returned from breakfast to get Taylor.
"Good morning Tracy." Andrea said as she entered the living room.
"Good morning you two. How was breakfast?"
"Lovely." Andrea replied. "It's quiet. Did all the kids leave?"
"Everyone except for Karlie and Taylor." Tracy replied.
                              "How is Karlie?"
"I'm so upset with her Andrea. It breaks my heart to even say that but I just don't understand. We all know they've had their issues in the past. It hasn't been a perfect relationship but God, I just don't get it."
"I'm sure they'll fix their issues. At least I'm hoping they do. I really love Karlie and regardless of what they're going through, I still love her. I just worry about when I'm no longer here. My daughter only has me and Karlie."
"She has me too." Scott said.
"Oh hun, you know what I mean. I just worry that if they don't fix this, how will she be when I'm not here? Who will she turn to? I don't want my daughter to get hurt but only Karlie knows what she truly wants. I wish I had the answers but I don't. I just hope they work things out because distance can do one of two things. Either make the heart grow fonder, or make it grow cold. I hope they know what they're doing, that's all."
Karlie walked out of the bedroom but as soon as she saw Andrea, she turned to walk back inside.
                              "Don't go Karlie." Andrea said.
The model turned back as she said, "I just didn't think you wanted to see me. Quite honestly, I don't want to see me."
Andrea walked over and gave Karlie a hug. "I love you Karlie. I really do."
Scott knocked on Taylor's door, letting her know they were back. She came out, dressed and ready to go. She saw Karlie and her mom pull apart as a brief smile formed.
"I'm ready if you guys are." Taylor said as she headed towards the door.
"You guys have fun." Tracy said as the three walked out. She looked over to her daughter as she said, "Go get dressed, we're going out."
"I decided to just stay here all day." Karlie replied.
"Well, I don't really care what you decided. You haven't been making the best decisions lately and staying home isn't a good one either. Get dressed, we're going out."
