The next morning Taylor woke up to an empty bed. Unsure if Karlie decided to stay in Connecticut for the overnight, she went into Mikayla's room and found her daughter sound asleep. She fixed the baby's blanket and gently rubbed her back before leaving the room.

Hoping to have this time to talk to Karlie, she made her way to the kitchen, thinking her wife was there, but she wasn't. There was only one other place she figured she would be and decided to go back upstairs to the guest room.

As she walked in, she saw her wife curled up in a ball sleeping. She approached the bed and slowly sat on the edge of it, trying hard not to wake her. She slid under the comforter and eased up behind Karlie, wrapping an arm around her. Karlie started to squirm from her wife's touch. She opened her eyes and turned her head in Taylor's direction. As soon as she saw crystal blue eyes staring back at her, she rolled over, grabbed her wife's arm and moved it off of her.

"Kar, please talk to me."

"I'll talk to you. I just don't want you touching me."

Taylor moved away slightly as she said, "Kar, I'm sorry. I should have never left. I was just upset and didn't know how to deal with the loss of the baby."

Karlie refused to face her wife as she responded, "And so you thought the best idea was to leave your daughter and go party with Gisele?"

"It wasn't like that. I didn't even know about the party until I got there. I only went because the plane wasn't ready for me to be able to leave, like I wanted to. Please believe me. Nothing happened with Gisele."

"Taylor, I never said anything did happen. I'm tired, I'm going back to bed."

"Baby, please...."

"Just stop. Please. I don't want to talk about this right now."

"You're angry that I came back, aren't you?"

Karlie sat up and faced her wife. There was a lot of anger and hurt in her eyes and Taylor could see it very clearly.

"I'm not angry that you're back, I'm angry that you left in the first place."

The singer just shook her head in disbelief as she looked down at her hands. "It's amazing how when you left me, I don't know three, four, five times, it was ok and I forgave you but when I do it you make it seem like I'm the most disgusting person in the world."

"Get out. Just leave me alone." Karlie laid back down and turned away from her wife.

"I'll be at my dad's." Taylor said as she left the room in tears.

Scott was sitting in the kitchen, drinking his coffee and reading the paper when he heard a knock at the door. When he opened it, he saw a familiar face that fell into his arms.

"Come here Taylor." He said as he hugged his daughter and rubbed her back.

"She hates me dad. I ruined everything."

"Taylor, that is the farthest thing from the truth. Your wife loves you so much that it hurts her. She just wanted to be there for you, to get through this together. She's gonna come around, it's just gonna take some time but don't run away."

The two sat in the kitchen for two hours just talking about everything that had happened. Scott offered many kind words and offered as much support as he could. It was difficult to see his daughter so broken, knowing that it was her mom she needed most right now. Footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs.

"HEY DAD, YOU COMING NEXT DOOR FOR MICKEY MOUSE PANCAKES?"

As Austin came around the corner, he was shocked to see his sister sitting there.
