77- Babies for Everyone

“Niall, that’s great!” I told him, then got up and gave him a big hug.

“Congrats man!” Ed said, then fist bumped him.

“Congratulations Niall, or should I say Uncle Niall!” Jake told him, then raised his bottle of water for a toast.

“I can’t wait to go back home and see him!” Niall was extremely excited, if you couldn’t tell. 

“What’s his name?” Ed asked.

“Theo Horan. Adorable, right?” Niall told him, then sat back down next to me.

“Sorry to intrude on this excitement, but we’ve got to talk contracts now.” Jake included himself in the conversation. “Alright, so we’d like to sign Skylar Grey to Elektra Records for two years. In this contract, you will have one tour in three months, for six months. You will travel all throughout the USA, UK, and Ireland. Sound good?” 

“Sounds incredible. I’ve always wanted to go to the UK and Ireland. Touring it, is even better.” I exclaimed. I can’t believe this. In three months, I will be touring around the world with my best friends. People will hear my music all over. How awesome is that?!

“Great! So you’ll enjoy this. Now, about your songs. I’d like a lyrics sheet for all of them so the label can work on them a bit. There won’t be major changes, but we’ve got to make sure they fit the label’s criteria.” Jake explained it all to me.

“Okay, one question. Can Niall, and a few of friends come with me on all of this?” I asked the bearing question. 

“Of course! I’ve worked with the One Direction boys, and I’m sure their girlfriends, who I assume you’re talking about, are just fine.” He gave me the good news. 

“What about collaborations?” I asked another question.

“Who would you like to collaborate with?” Jake asked me. I turned next to me, and then across the table. “Ed and Niall?”

“And Harry and Louis if they’d like. I’m sure they don’t want to give up the singing career just yet.” 

“Sounds great. I’ll inform the label and they’ll get back to me within a week or so. I’ll have Ed call you as soon as we get the information!” 

“Sounds great! Thank you so much, again!” I hugged my producer one last time and then Niall and I went back to the shore house. Once we arrived at the house, the guys all went out golfing together, while the girls went shopping.

NIALL’S POV

“So why the split up between everyone?” I asked, as I drove Louis, Harry, and I to an exclusive golf course about an hour away. 

“Amelia had something to tell the girls, which she also wanted me to tell you guys.” Harry explained.

“Actually, Layla and I have some things to tell you guys too!” Louis pointed out. “You got any news, Ni?” 

“I’m an uncle! Greg and Denise had little baby Theo yesterday!” I cheered. Gosh, I cant wait to hold him and take care of him with Skylar when they want a break. I love kids so much, as does Skylar.

“That’s great mate! Congrats!” Harry cheered. “What’s your news, Lou?” 

“Well, since Layla and I are engaged now, we’ve been talking about having kids.” Louis began to talk.

“Does this mean…?” I asked.

“Layla’s pregnant!” Louis yelled.

“No way! So is Amelia!” Harry added.

“Well congratulations, to the both of you! Either of you know what you’re having?” I asked.

“Mel’s having a girl. She’s due beginning of November.” Harry exclaimed, his face beaming.

“Layla has this real nice idea of finding out, which we’ll actually be needing you and Skylar, Ni, to help us with it.” Louis stated.

“I’d be honored to help all of you! I really hope Skylar wants kids.” I smiled. “What can we do for you?” 

“Well she’s always had this idea that two friends would find out the sex of the baby and at her baby shower, the inside of the cupcakes would be colored according to the gender.” Louis explained.

“That’s a great idea!” Harry supported his friends. “We just really wanted to find out. Mel’s so excited about having our baby girl.”

“Layla’s stoked about this all. She’s due end of November I believe, so the kids will be close in age, which is great.” Louis said. 

A Few Hours Later

“Good game, lads. Real good game.” I mentioned to the guys, as we headed home for dinner.          

“Layla just texted me saying the girls cooked us some dinner. They got home about an hour ago.” Louis told us.

“Yeah, Amelia told me she gave the news. Everyone seems to be enjoying all of this baby news!” Harry added.

“Yeah, mate! With me being an uncle, you having a baby girl, and Louis having a kid too, we’re finally starting our lives as families. Can you believe it?” I said to the guys. By the time we got home, it was perfect timing for us all to shower and dress for dinner. The girls made homemade tacos, and by girls I mean Layla. She always did most of the cooking. 

“Looks good babe.” I said, sitting down next to Skylar at the dining room table, giving her a kiss on the cheek.     

“How was golfing, guys?” Amelia asked, sitting next to Harry. 

“It was great! Niall won, of course.” Harry stated.

“It’s cause I’m irish.” I said with a smirk on my face, causing everyone to laugh. 

“So, I’m guessing Layla told you the news?” Louis asked the girls.

“Yes! I’m so happy for you guys!” Skylar chirped, then turned to Amelia and Harry. “You guys, too!”

“Thanks guys, the support is going to be really helpful with all of the baby stuff going on.” Layla said. 

“So what about you guys? Any babies soon?” Amelia turned to us, and I just looked at Skylar, waiting for her answer.

“Well, we’re going to visit Greg and Denise soon. Hopefully we can talk about it all there. I’d love to have kids. I love them so much, and I really hope Skylar feels the same way.” I explained.

“I really want kids too, Niall. I really do.” Skylar’s face lit up while talking to me.
