Just because she's Mark's daughter, it doesn't mean that she'll have the same feeling behind her voice and words, I thought as I stood in the kitchen, twirling a pencil between my fingers.
Chester looked at me, "Bourdie, what's wrong? I can smell your brain burning."
I chuckle, "What brain? All that's in my head is rocks."
"You said that. Not me," Chester joked as he punched my arm.
I sigh,"I was just thinking about what Mike is getting us into."
"The kid grew up around Xero and Linkin Park. Give her a chance."
Just then, Eren comes down the stairs, followed by Mike,"Hey mom, is it okay if I go on tour with Uncle Mike and the guys?"
Eren's mom sighs,"Go ask Kenji."
Chester speaks up,"Kenji is the one who gave her the idea."
Mike face-palmed, hard."Not me, Chess. She means Eren's stepmother."
Five jaws dropped at once, "Stepmother!?"
Eren nodded,"My mom turned lesbian about a year ago. Proposed at Rock am Ring last year, actually."
