Danny looked at the time. It was already noon. He had to turn in his artwork in fifteen minutes. Instantly he began to panic. What could he possibly draw in fifteen minutes? He looked all around but found nothing. So, he decided to draw the sky. The sky always brought him comfort.
He finished the picture with less detail than he wanted but it still looked good. This was his last month of college. After this, he could get a teaching job. He was excited.
"When do you find out if you passed?" Matt asked from across the room.
"The first of next month," Danny answered. He couldn't wait.
"Well, I say we celebrate," Matt suggested. Danny's eyes narrowed and he raised a suggestive eyebrow.
"How do you propose we do that?" He asked.
"I could take you right here on the couch," Matt replied, licking his lips in anticipation. Danny made his way over to Matt and kissed him. Matt responded by pulling Danny into his lap and caressing his cheek. Danny smiled and kissed him, deeper this time. Matt slipped his tongue into Danny's mouth and they fought for dominance. Danny won.
Matt began to suck on Danny's neck gently, careful not to leave a mark. That was as far as they got. Danny pulled away when his computer beeped. He had a new email.
"Babe," Matt started. Danny raised a finger, silencing Matt. His eyes grew wide and suddenly he was back. He threw himself on top of Matt and quickly undressed him. "What's gotten into you?"
"I got the teaching job! I can start a month after the wedding!" Danny exclaimed as he pressed their lips together. Matt didn't protest. They both had the best time that day on the living room chair.
"So where's this job at?" Matt asked afterwards. Danny smiled.
"Wyoming," he whispered. Matt's eyes went wide.
"Did you take it?" He asked, hoping he'd say no.
"I want to. Why? Should I not?" Danny asked, looking into Matt's eyes. Matt shrugged and smiled at Danny.
"You should take whatever job you want. I'm proud of you," he answered. He kissed Danny gently. Danny smiled and laid his head on Matt's chest. Even though Matt had said it was ok, he couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't. Danny was nervous. Would Matt follow him to Wyoming? Or would he stay and let him leave on his own? Would Matt make the same mistake Danny had years ago?
