Episode 22: Need To Remember

Joyce's POV:

They were all looking at me, expecting me too say something. But I just stood there, frozen. "W-what" I said in shock. "We were playing hide and seek, when we found her passed out. When she woke up, she couldn't remember anything, except for the day they found her in the woods" Will said. They were all looking down. "I'm going to call Hopper" I said running to the phone. He picked up really quickly. "Hey Joyce, what's up" he said. "Jim, El can't remember. She can only remember the boys saving her in the rain" I said rushed. I could hear Jim swear. "Okay I'm coming over" he said and I hanged up.

Mike's POV:

El sat on her bed, and was looking around the room. "Hey, what's your name?' I asked her,sitting down next to her. I have decided that I would start over again. She pulled her sleeve up, and I looked at her tattoo again. I still can't believe that she doesn't remember anything. She doesn't remember our first kiss, or the fact that she's my girlfriend. "Eleven, well my name is Mike, short for Michael. Maybe we can call you...El"  I said. She nodded. "El?" I asked. "Mike?"'she said. I smiled. "Do you want Eggos?" She tilted her head and wrinkled her nose. "What is.....eggo" she asked. Of course....she forgot about Eggos. "You'll love it, I promise". "What is promise?" She asked. And in that moment, I was ready to cry. "It means something you can't break, ever" I said tears forming in my eyes. I gave her so many promises, and I broke them all.

Lucas's POV:

Mike came crying out of El's room. He sat down next to me, and put his head in his hands. "I promised her, I promised she would be safe" he mumbled, before he broke down. I hugged him, as he cried into my shoulder. "It's okay Mike" Dustin said, tears in his eyes as well. "No it's not. I keep, promising her things, but I always break them! I should have protected her, I could have done something. It's my fault she disappeared with the demogorgon. It's my fault she got taken by the bad men. And it's my fault that she can't remember anything" he screamed. My eyes were filled up with tears. I pulled away from him and looked him in the eyes. "No Mike. It's not your fault. You keep saving the girl, and she's not blaming you, even if she doesn't remember you. El thinks that everything you do is Gods creation, she loves you okay? And she will still love you even though she has amnesia" I said slowly, so he would listen to every word. Mike starred at me before hugging me again.

Hopper's POV:

I came in through the door, and saw Mike crying into Lucas's arms. Will was standing in the corner starring into the a wall. "Hey boys, where is Joyce?" I asked crossing my arms. "She's in the kitchen" Dustin said. I nodded and walked into the kitchen. Joyce was sitting at the small table, drinking coffee. "Hey Joyce" I said. She looked up and hugged me. I hugged her back awkwardly. "So how is Eleven?" I asked leaning against the table. "I think Mike, told her too sleep" she said, taking out a cigarette. "I thought you stopped?" I asked raising one of my eyebrows. "Well I'm stressed" she said, blowing out smoke. "We will figure something out" I said taking some coffee.

Eleven's POV:

I was still sitting on the bed. Why did Mike start to cry? I don't really who these people are, but they seem nice. There is one problem though, I thought the boy they called Will, was in the Upside Down. I shrugged laying down, in the bed. I closed my eyes, hoping that Papa wouldn't come to get me.

Dustin's POV:

I didn't know what to say, Mike was still crying. I'm really nervous, what if El wouldn't remember again? Mike would be devastated.

Will's POV:

I couldn't help, but feel guilty. El just keep going through awful things, I should be grateful, I'm not sick anymore. We just have to make El remember now.

Third persons POV:

As the boys were sitting in silence, El was having a nightmare.  Filled with Dr Brenner and needles.
