Chapter 61

SAMMIE POV:

"Just taking care of Demi's sister Madison, she lives with us now. I have to take care of the housekeeping. I'm helping Quinn with her son. I'm helping my mom with cooking and paying important bills." I said quietly.

"Why do you pay the bills at home?" She took my hand. I mean, it's not in that kinda way, more likely in the 'calm down and it's okay' way.

"Because my mom doesn't have the money for it." I looked away, being embarrassed.

"It's okay Sammie don't worry." She paused. "Is that really everything that's been going on? Because I feel like there's something else you should tell me." She said, looking at my arms.

"No, that's everything." I lied. She doesn't have to know my entire life. "Okay if you say so. If you don't mind I'm going to talk to your mom later and invite her for a conversation." She said. "Yeah sure." I said and stood up.

"I'm busy so I kinda just have to go home." I said, grabbed my things and left the building as soon as possible.

I drove off to the city and went to a random club to just get my mind off things.

"Hey can I get a white wine please?" I asked some dude. "There you go." He gave me a glass of wine. "You look lost." He said. "Well I'm here so I'm not lost." I winked and then laughed.

"Aren't you a little too young to be here? Especially on a clear day?" He asked me. "Hmm not really. How old do you think I am?" I laughed. "I don't know, 16 I guess." He said.

"I'm 18. Can't get rid of these baby cheeks."

"At least you're cute." He winked and then continued his work at the bar.

I put out my phone and checked if I had any missed calls or texts.

Message from Demi:
"Hey where are you?"

Message from Mom:
"Be home at 4pm."

Message from Madison:
"Can we pleaaase go to the city today? I need to get new clothes and going alone is no fun. Pleaaaseeeee!!"

Message from Dinah J:
"I'm coming over tonight."

I smiled at the reactions I've gotten on my last instagram picture with Demi and then turned off my phone.

I finished my drink, said bye to the guy and walked back to my car. Time to go to the gymnastics centre.

"Coach?" I asked as I saw her walking through the hallways. "Sammie is that you?" She asked before even turning around, and once she saw me she run upto me and gave me the biggest hug ever.

"Oh how I've missed my favourite girl." She smiled and hugged me again. "I missed you too coach I'm so sorry I didn't contact you or anything. I've just had a lot on my mind and shit but I'm here to tell you I want to start doing gymnastics again." I smiled like crazy.

"Well that's the best thing I've heard in months. You can always contact me, no matter what state you are in, I'm here for you Sam." She said and hugged me. Yeah we've always been really close.

"It's free gymnastics hour so if you want you can just -" "Oh girl I know, let's go." I laughed and walked past her.

After doing gymnastics for about an hour it was time to go home and I picked another date to practice with Coach and then I left.

"Hey what took you so long?" Marissa asked once I walked in. "I went to the gymnastics centre. I totally forgot to give you a call, I'm sorry." I said and got myself a glass of water.

"I'm on the phone with Demi and she's been asking for you all day so say hi or something." She laughed. "Hey Demi, it's me Sam." I yelled from the kitchen. "Hey baby. Are you coming over tonight?" She asked. "No sorry I can't. Dinah's coming over and staying for the night but you can join us if you want? She's bringing Lauren with her." I said and sat down next to Marissa.

"Yeah sure thing. I'll be there around 8." She said. "See you tonight." I smiled and then took my phone to call Madison.

Phoneconversation Madison;
"Hey Mads. I forgot to reply your message. I actually don't have time today but tomorrow'd be great, if you want?" I asked her. "Yeah sure. Tell Marissa I'm out with a friend. See you tonight Sam." She said. "See you. Have fun babygirl, be careful." I said and then hung up.

"Madison is hanging out with a friend." I said. "With who?" She asked. "Dunno, she told me to tell you she'll be back by tonight." I said and she just nodded.

"So I got this call from your teacher..." she started. "What did she say?" I asked. "She wanted to talk to me about your home situation. What did you tell her?" She asked. "Just that I'm busy taking care of Madison. She's overreacting." I weakly smiled.

"Alright. I have an appointment with her on Monday so if you want you can join us but that's all on you." She said and I just nodded.

If I join them I'll exactly know everything they talk about but I kinda don't want to join them either.

Miss Alia has been far up my ass and she's starting to see through my lies and everything I say.

We ate dinner and then I got upstairs to get ready for the night. I put on one of Demi's sweaters and a short PJ's pants with knee socks and put my hair up in a ponytail. I mean who do I have to dress up for? Just hanging out in my house with my best friend and my girlfriend, who both have seen me in my worst state.

Soon enough Dinah walked in, she still has the key, and not too much later Demi also did.

It's already 8:30PM and Madison still isn't out. I'm not sure where she is or what time she will be home but somehow I'm really concerned.

"What's on your mind Samson?" Dinah asked me. "Hmm nothing, just wondering where Mads could be." I said and then Dinah took out my phone. "Call her." She chuckled about the fact I haven't thought about this before.

I called a few times but she doesn't pick up. Not much later I got a text message from her.

From Madison:
"I'm on my way. See you in 10."

I sighed from relieve and saw the other girls laughing at me. "You're cute when you're overprotective." Demi said. "Agreed." Dinah and Lauren said in common and then gave eachother a high five.

"I'm just trying to take good care of her, shut up." I pouted and all of them came at me to give a groupshug. They're such a bunch of losers sometimes, no offense.

"You're adorable." Demi kissed me and then laid down next to me on the couch.

"Anyone who still wants to watch this movie?" I asked and actually no one wanted to watch it anymore. Then the doorbell rang.

"Okay you guys go pick out another movie, I'll get the door." I said and got up.

"Madison what the fuck."
