Chapter 37

SAMMIE POV:

Next day

Marissa had apparently lost a lot of blood in the past few hours which is why she wasn't feeling well. She's alright now and free to go home.

I called the police and they'll be at our house at 12PM and it's 11PM now so we've got enough time to get there. The hospital not too far away from our house.

"You feeling alright momma?" I asked her and she smiled at me. "Yeah kiddo thank you."

I must admit, after a shower she looked a lot better. There are only pretty much bruises and some scars but other than that she's doing alright. She also says her head hurts but it must be from stress and the fact that she fell on the back of her head.

Dinah is staying with us for a few days to make sure everything's okay. If Marissa's feeling well later today the girls are coming over. I also heard Luna may be coming today, since they met again they stayed in contact as far as I know.

Once we arrived at home, which goes really fast when you think about everything, it's like getting into your whole own world. Anyways, once we arrived at home it was about 11:35AM. I got out of the car and helped Marissa with getting out.

We also called Max, Demi's bodyguard, to stay over for the night just to make sure no one can come near Marissa.

"Does anyone want anything to drink?" Dinah asked. "I'd like water, what about you guys?" I asked Demi and Marissa. "Coffee." They both said and I laughed. "You guys are addicted to coffee."

Dinah got us our drinks and we sat down. "The police are coming in 5 minutes. I just want you to tell them everything, alright mom? Everything you told me, and if there's more I need you to tell them that too." I said and she nodded. "It'll be alright." I hugged her.

"Do you want us to stay here or go upstairs?" Demi asked. "I think I should do this on my own." She said and we stood up but she pulled me back. "But, could you please stay with me Sam?" She looked into my eyes and I nodded. I gave Demi a kiss and Dinah a hug and then they went upstairs.

After a few more minutes of waiting I heard someone knock on the door. I already saw Max walking towards it so I got up and watched from the doorways.

Once they came in I shook their hands and got them some coffee. "Thank you for coming." I said and they nodded.

Marissa told them their story and also showed them a bunch of new messages she just got, which I didn't know anything about. She apparently got many MANY messages from Jason where he's threatening her.

She also showed them the pictures Demi made from when she had just found her. You'd probably think she's crazy for taking a picture of an unconscious woman full of blood and bruises but this picture was really important for the officers to have a good view of the situation and what exactly happened.

I held her hand the entire time and just made sure she was doing okay. Once the officers were done questioning her they turned their 'interview' to me. I just told them my story, what my relationship to Jason was and what he has done to me and my foster family in my younger years.

After like an hour they left and told us they'd call immediately if they had any kind of information. They also set up an agent around the house.

"You'll be alright Marissa." I heard Demi say. "Yeah things will get better." Dinah added. They walked up to us and gave both of us a hug. I quickly gave Demi a kiss and then got up to get myself something to eat. "Does anyone want some fruit or a snack?" I asked them. "No we're fine." They said.

"Dinah, Sam, could you guys leave us alone for a little?" Demi asked us. "Yeah sure. Give us a call when you're done." I gave her a kiss on the cheek and hugged Marissa, then walked upstairs with Dinah.

"Let's watch a movie." I said. "Finding Dory!" I heard a familiar voice say from the doorway. "Lauren!" I stood up and hugged her. "I missed you so much." I said. "I missed you too Sam." We let go of eachother and she joined us in my bed.

After a few minutes someone else came in, I'm guessing it's Camila.

"How dare you to watch Finding Dory without me?" She said and then walked up to me, acting like she's offended. I walked up to her and hugged her. "It's only been 5 minutes banana and besides that I missed you a lot." I said. "I missed you even more Samson."

Lauren and Camila are still together so obviously they were cuddling the entire time. So did Dinah and I, but the only difference is that we're like sisters. She's my big sister and I'm her baby sister. That's just how it works.

"I love you Sammie C." Dinah said and kissed my forehead. "I love you Dinah J." I managed to get out before letting my eyes fall down. I could feel myself drifting into a good, warm sleep.

DEMI POV:

"I'm staying with you as long as you need Marissa. Dinah's also staying for the week and Sam lives here so you'll be fine. Don't worry too much about it alright?" I casually said and then hugged Marissa. I wish she didn't have to go through all of this. "Sammie doesn't live here anymore and I'm sure she hates me after all of this." She said and looked down. "Don't say that Rissa, she loves you endlessly and I'm sure she's not mad at you at all.

She stayed quiet for a minute but then opened her mouth to say something. "Thank you Demi" She smiled at me. I hugged her really tight till I heard a knock on the door. "Max could you open it?" I asked him. You never know what's gonna happen these days. He opened the door and I saw Luna standing there, along with Normani and Ally.

"Hey guys." I said as I walked upto them to give them a hug. "Hey." Marissa said from behind. They all looked at her with a bit of shock in their eyes but you can also just feel the fact that they care a lot about her. That's what I love most about my friends, they care and love.

I walked upstairs to get the other girls so we could have a movie day, which they were already having. Just the usual when you're bored. Once I opened the door I saw Dinah and Sammie cuddled up and fast asleep, even though they're like sisters I still couldn't help it but feel jealous. I just missed her a lot in the past few months and all of this drama hasn't been helping either. Anyways, Camila and Lauren were still awake so we all went downstairs and put on a movie.

"Thank you guys for coming." I heard Marissa say. They all smiled at her and then focused on which movie they'd pick. In the meantime I got us some popcorn and drinks and then sat down with the rest of the girls.

We chose to watch Frozen en it was actually quite fun. We basically sang along with every song in it, including one of mine, and then bursted out in laughter for no proper reason.

Then there was a knock on the door.
