Long nights
Daily foreboding frights
Someone seemed to have taken out all the lights
Can't things stay forever bright?
Will someone finally put up a fight?
To do what is fundamentaly right?
If I use my second sight
Will people thank me? Seemingly alright
As they say, their bark is worse than their bite
So will they delude themselves, or be ready for their plight?

Unfortunate, indeed
That they won't face it, even if I plead
They would rather take the lead
To this "horse" on this never ending merry-go-round,
Thinking that they're safe and sound,
Secluding themselves, even when they try to leave
Subconsciously knowing, it's not as they believe
In life there's no reprieves
If you take it that way, that's how ignorantly you perceive
I'm sorry if you do
Really, but equally it's bad if you know or not,
Even when you say "knowing is worse", you'll have that second thought

I'm sorry that knowing is seeing everything life has brought
And your decisions aren't the way you sought
You probably already forgot,
Your brains way of protecting you from the bad things you caught
The only thing you'll know is that you fought
To be how you are now, even if you don't like who you are,
But that's the whole point, constantly changing, trying to figure yourself out, by far
Exhaustion of battle is oddly satisfying
Though your brain protected you by lying, but it's better that, than to feel like dying.
