Lost
Very lost
The girl treaded carefully
Winding through the darkness
Always on the verge of falling
The ground rippled from emotions
The ones buried very deep
She cried with each step
While her heart begged "No more!"
She didn't belong here
She never belonged here
Try as she might
There was no escaping
Sometimes
Familiar voices flooded her mind
She would wince each time
Never wanting to hear those disgusting words
Blocking her ears never helped
As they were always attacking from inside
They would scream
Yell
Whisper
Or be completely silent
It didn't matter that she felt alone
When she had them, always hounding
Always speaking
In her weary mind
But the silence scared her
Because utterly nothing
Is terrifying
It's unheard of
Never being judged?
Harassed?
By her own head?
Simply nothing?
Walking for hours in a place like this
Will make you go mad
The ground is unreliable
There is nothing around
Just endless darkness
With memories that come and go
Some very faint
Muffled in innocent ears
And some
So loud
That evokes such mortification
Your whole body trembles
You could beg for the silence
It won't come
And when it does
You'll wish it hadn't
Blindly walking
With no other choice
You have to keep going
To keep suffering
Your name will be whispered
Over
And over
Taunting you to stop
To give up
To let go
Each step will be more painful than the last
But it's worth it right?
It's better than feeling nothing
People could ask if she's alright
Could just ask her name
The reply would be the same
Hollow
She would say
She feels hollow inside
Can you fix it?
Being empty is strange
She doesn't want to remain this way
And she calls herself Hollow
As if that was her name
Because when she cried for help
No one came
