Memories of you are everywhere
I can't escape
Looking down at my phone
Is the only place
We laughed on the couch
And cuddled sorrows away
We laughed in bed
And took control,
Of our demons that day
We laughed in the kitchen
Made jokes about food
We laughed in the shower
Where I'd tease you into a mood
We laughed in the hallway,
The stairs
Chasing after each other
We laughed in the living room
Watching movies or YouTube
Forever deciding what to watch
We laughed everywhere
In this house
And everywhere we've cried
But that doesn't dampen,
Such good memories
They're safely in my mind
I wish you were here to see
A palace you've created
And also my torture cell
I miss you dearly
You're everywhere
And yet,
You're too far away to tell
