I loved him
And he flew too far
Far away from me
I shielded him as best I could
From betrayers across the sea
I held him
In my arms
Bloodied, from myself
His cries will haunt me forever
With tears, blue as can be
Fat drops splattered on the ground
Grew into a puddle
I could not see
It's inky depths
As it was thick as paint
Blurry was his eyes
As he started to faint
I cradle you
To my breast
Where my heart lies
And where you'll always be
Pain and misery
Came upon you
As I try to make you see
I love you, my boy
As I always have
I'd give you my soul
And rip out my lungs
Just to ensure you're happy
And able to breathe
But you've gone astray
I wait for you
At our place
Where we'd always lay
I hear echoes of your laugh
And sniffles from your cries
Your breathing as you relax
With stardust in your eyes
I turn round and round
Knowing you aren't here
I wonder where you'd gone
Where'd you disappear?
You taunt me
As I panic
Looking for your help
While I lose myself
I want to find you
The real you
The one you reserved for me
The sweet innocence
In your eyes
As you just want to sleep
You want to be loved
I know you do
And mine isn't enough
I wish I could
Take your fractured parts
And mold them into me
I don't want you to cry my boy
As everyone leaves
They are just making room
For more people
Who will cherish you
As much as me
I will always search
For that lost boy
The one who had such hope
You shield yourself
From everyone else
But I will not be fooled
I hope I find you again one day
As you are my heart and soul
I'll stay incomplete
Until we meet
And maybe then, you'll be happy
And old
