Because when I look at my hands,
All I see is carving up my skin
Do you hate the way I look?
I just lose myself so easily in a book,
Even I can't stand a mirror
Do you hear the way I talk?
I hesitate, feeling my head on the chopping block,
I hope these words get clearer
But you don't understand,
Because when I look at my hands,
I see the crimson staining under my fingernails,
Are you paying attention?
I'm failing to mention,
All my suffering wails
Do you see me stare at my feet?
When you ask if I'm okay, you don't seem to miss a beat,
But fail to see these dripping lines
My appetite is leaving me,
Are you gonna leave me?
I guess you would, cause I said I'm fine
But you don't understand,
Because when I look at my hands,
I see red welling up, and I don't want it to stop,
Even then, I see the pity in your eyes,
Oh how in that moment I despise,
Myself for my decisions, so much for climbing back to the top
Do you think I want to be broken?
The words I need are rarely spoken,
So how will I win?
If you aren't by my side,
When will the sun rise?
Oh can I be caught by surprise?
Because you don't understand
Every time I look at my hands,
My life is continuously slipping through
And I don't know or care what to do.
A/N: Hello, another dark one, going through some things. Still slow updates. I am also slowly starting back up my first book on Wattpad, Last Chance. Maybe you guys could check that out, I'm slowly editing that one, the first few chapters aren't that good because I started it long ago, but like I said I'm still editing. I'm trying to focus more on writing it out first. Anyway so slow updates for both books but they both mean a lot to me, I just didn't see my story Last Chance's worth until my friend told me to start it back up.
