"Your mom most have been fucked up when you were born because you name is just as damn stupid as you are."
That was the casual thing. Everyone saying the same thing. My name was the problem. I was the odd ball, no one had my name nor understood it. I would spend my days begging my mom to change my name to something normal but she would always state; you're name is beautiful, I'm not changing it. I would always groan and complain.
I sit in class as everyone bickers about some new kid that just transferred from Australia. You placed your head on your desk. It was only a movie playing nothing to really grab your attention. The glass room door opened as everyone soon silenced.
Your teacher soon starts talking to who ever walked in. The chair beside you loudly slides across the floor as someone takes the seat. You looked over and noticed a blonde headed boy looking forward. He glanced towards you and softly smiled.
"Saraya!" Your head shot up as the teacher demanded your attention as she pointed to the tv.
You groaned as everyone started to snicker and laugh at you. It was a every day thing. You hated it so much. You noticed the boy beside you glance around the room then back to you. He seemed confused a little lost with what was going on.
"Why is everyone laughing?" He whispered leaning over to you.
"Because of me." You mutter looking down at your desk.
"You didn't do anything anything funny. I don't understand."
You sighed. "My name is why everyone is laughing."
"I like your name I don't see the humour behind it. It's different and different is a good thing."
You looked over at the blonde headed boy as he just smiled at you. You smiled back before focusing on the movie.
"I'm Luke." He mutter sticking his hand out to you.
You quickly shook his hand before muttering, "Saraya."
"Beautiful." You blushed as you looked away.
.....
Luke soon had became your best friend. He was always at your side defending you with the rude comments that came from others. On days you never replied to his messages he would show up at your house with your favourite movies and ice cream.
You were surely falling for him and you had a small feeling he was doing the same towards you. He started to kiss your cheek when he greets you as well as placing his arm across your shoulders as you guys would walk to class.
School let out early leaving you an Luke laying on your bed bored. He has been quiet all day, you looked over at him as he just stared at the ceiling deep in thought. You were curious what was going on so you nudged him with your elbow causing him to look over at you.
"What?" He questions.
"You alright?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." He mumbles glancing back towards the ceiling.
"Hemmings spill it."
He doesn't say anything as he gets off your bed and heads for the door. "I got to go."
You sat up as you watched him leave. That was so weird. He never done anything like that. He usually begs to stay.
You were thankful it was Saturday. You stayed laying in your bed still wondering what was up with Luke yesterday. You still couldn't wrap your mind around any of it. But he seemed better that night as he called you. He never brought up what happened.
"Wake up!"
Your heart started to best faster as Luke jumped on your bed demanding you get up. You couldn't help but laugh as he fell beside you. He pulled his lip ring between his teeth as he just stared at you. You couldn't help but blush.
"Go to the movies with me tonight." He mutters still staring at you.
"Like in as a -"
"Yes, Saraya I'm asking you on a date to the movies with me tonight." Luke smiled confidently as his eyes never left you.
"Okay."
"Great! I'll be by to pick you up at 6." Luke kissed your cheek before leaving your room.
You didn't know what to make of his date or idea of a date but you were thankful for him asking you.
Time flew as you were getting ready. You were beyond excited for it but a little nervous on what will happen afterwards. You were thankful your parents went out for dinner so they couldn't embarrass you more they have already in front of him. You rushed down stairs as there was a knock at the door.
"Hi."
"Hi." You muttered looking at him the the ground.
He grabbed your hand in his as you shut the door behind you. He kept complimenting you on your outfit but it really wasn't anything special - just a band tee and skinny jeans along with your favourite pair or vans. You guys entered the cinema as you both agreed on watching 22 Jump Street.
"The movie was awesome." Luke said in between laughs as you guys kept discussing the movie.
His hand tightly held yours as you guys headed back towards your house. You couldn't help the smile that was wide across your face as Luke swung your intertwined hands back forth.
"Thank you." You muttered as you stood in front of your door.
Luke nodded but kept his eyes on his feet. In a split moment your back was pressed against the wooden door as his lips made contact with yours. It was everything your dreamt it to be. His lips moved passionately slow against yours as you tangled your fingers in his hair.
"I've wanted to do that for so long." He breathed out as he leaned his forehead against yours. "Be my girlfriend Saraya?"
"Yes." You muttered before placing your lips back to his. You felt him smile into the kiss.
You couldn't help but giggle as he pulled away from you smiling. He kissed you one last time before leaving you breathless on your porch as he headed off down your driveway.
