M I C H A E L
My whole life depended on how I asked this question, how the words will be combined in order to achieve the happiness I know that I never thought I would be able to gather on my own in years. My hands began to sweat more than usual as her eyes looked into mine.
"Hello, ugh," I wiped my sweaty hands on my black jeans. "Do you guys still have the Taco Fry Box?"
The woman behind the counter nodded. I quickly instructed her that I would be interested in getting one. She was quick to get rid of me as the people in the line behind me seemed to be relieved as well. I smile walking towards Avalon who was placed at a table in the corner. I knew she was happy to eat anywhere but the annoyed look on her face was enough to tell me that I had wasted too much time on asking one simple question.
"Why did it have to take you like 20 minutes to ask such a simple question?" Her eyes never looked at me as she examined the weird phrases that were oddly still written on the sauce packets.
That was a question that could be filled under social anxiety or just anxiety alone. I hated asking questions. Hell, I hated anyone looking at me longer than a few minutes but I never had issues asking Avalon questions. Everything just came easy with her, but I know that one question that my heart wanted to ask will either be the easiest thing to say or the thing that kills me.
" I am a very serious person when it comes to food Avalon, you of all people should know this."
She snorted a laugh as she was amused by my statement. God did I love her.
I oddly watched her eat, she wasn't those types of girls that would be concerned on how they looked eating in front of their boyfriends. Avalon didn't care how she looked, she was going to enjoy her food the way a person should. Hell, that is what I loved about her. She was my forever, no matter if she knew it or not. In time, like a few weeks, she was going to know that I had found my forever and that was with her no matter where we are. She was my happiness.

"Are you sure you are ready to watch me act like a child at Disney?" She asked looking at cheap Mickey ears on her phone.
"Wouldn't be something I haven't seen before."
"This time will be different because we are going to...PARIS," Her hands did this weird spirit finger thing as the word Paris left her perfect lips.
This trip was her idea, her plans and literally her dream. How in the world could I tell her no? The hard part was not paying for it all, but planning something that she was beyond unsure about and that would be placed between two things she had on her hour-by-hour schedule. I love her but she might be on the borderline of crazy. Her mouth never stopped moving from the time we boarded the plane to the time we had landed. The hours didn't slip by easily or fast, the time was drained from me and the passengers as if we were giving blood to the Red Cross.
Our hotel was something out of a fantasy, it was what dreams were made of. I mean it was a Disney suite for god-sakes. My queen was happy and so was I and that was all I needed. The night consisted of her laying out everything she needed, everything we might need during the full day of her plans. All that mattered to me was that she had no idea on what was happening the moment we hit the hotel, no idea that our lives will be changed from a small movement and a simple few words. But only if she said the right word. If not then this trip would have gone from loving, fun to the most awkward times in both of our lives.
