-Third Person P.O.V-

-Kim Taehyung has been homeschooled for most of his education. Things like prom and homecoming were out of the question as soon as he hit high school. He wasn't ecstatic about the fact he'd miss these important events in his life but he also wasn't overly sad about it.

That's where Namjoon comes in, the Kim's neighbors. He's only a year older than Taehyung so it wasn't unlikely for the top to befriend each other. Throughout the years they actually became best friends. Knowing that Taehyung wouldn't be able to attend a school dance, he wanted to bring the dance to him.

With the help of Taehyung's parents Namjoon was able to set up a mini dance in his parents living room. Namjoon even invited a few of his friends to the dance so it wouldn't be too awkward just being the two of them.

You could imagine how nervous Namjoon was feeling when he asked Taehyung to go to prom with him. At first Taehyung was confused, the public school Namjoon goes to only allows for students and staff to attend the party, so why was Namjoon asking him to prom. After some explaining Taehyung was so happy that his best friend would do such a thing for him.

-Namjoon's P.O.V-

-I was nervously sweating as I stood in my living room with my friends and parents helping me set up the food and decorations. My mother prepared the food, making all of Taehyung's favorites. And my Mom bought the decorations and ordered SeokJin and Yoongi around the place.

I'm supposed to pick Taehyung up at his door in ten minutes. My mom wasn't even done with all the decorations. Taping my foot on the ground Hoseok and Jimin walked up to me. "Don't look so nervous, Taehyung might not be into sweaty guys," Hoseok said casually.

Jimin stifled a laugh and I shot glared at both of them. "Look, I'm stressing right now and I don't need you making fun of my crush right now," I grumbled wiping my palms on the black slacks I had paired with a dark blue button up.

"Come on man, he was just messing around," Jimin pushed my shoulder and I grumbled under my breath. Yeah I knew he was only messing around but I'm stressing so bad right now. I wanted this night to be perfect for Tae and maybe even confess but that's not what I need to focus on.

"I have to pick Tae up in a few minutes, can you tel my mom to hurry?" I didn't really ask, more of I told the two what to do. Anyways I pulled on my shoes and ran to my room to grab Tae's gift. I had gotten him a pink bear that was a replica of the one he had when he was little. When we first met he showed me his bear, Pinky, and told me just how much he loves her. A few years ago he had lost her and we never found it so I wanted to get him something special for tonight.

Taking one last look at myself I flatten out my shirt and fix my collar. "Sweetheart, you look fine," lookin to my door I find my Mother perched against the frame. "Your mom didn't dress you so you look fine," I chuckled at her with a shake of my head. "Go get him tiger, don't want him waiting forever."

Taking my Mother's word I walk out the front door and to Taehyung's. This was it, this moment forward everything was goin to change. It was all up to Tae, that scared me. Not because I don't think Taehyung can make decisions, just the fact I don't know what goes through his head when we're together.

It was nerve racking and anxiety inducing, that walk to his front door. The sun was still out and beating down on my back causing me to sweat even further. Maybe this wasn't a good idea, what if Taehyung doesn't want to be friends after this? I'd be ruined, my life would be meaningless if Taehyung wasn't in it.

My heart raced a mile a minute when I found myself on the front porch of Taehyung's home. Gulping down my stress and hesitation I ring the door bell and wait for someone to answer. A breath of relief left me when Taehyung's sister answered the door. She was twirling her hair and biting her lip, her actions made me shiver.

Haeyoung liked me, and she didn't make it a secret. She was very blunt and no one knew where she got it from, both her parents weren't as blunt as her. What scared me the most about her was the fact that she'd take any and every chance she could to get close to me, even if that meant embarrassing her parents or annoying Taehyung. She just didn't care about anything or anyone unless it concerned her.
